Is real peace just the absence of war? Can real peace exist without proper education in a community? Can real peace exist without proper nutrition in a community? Can real peace exist without proper housing in a community? Can real peace exist without proper health care in a community? And can real peace exist without a good economy in a community? We think not! Education, nutrition, housing, heal

th care, and economic development are what we consider the five factors of peace, which we raise funds for through music – the universal language. Established in August of 2012, World Music Development is a 501-c-3 nonprofit organization operated by a volunteer three-member board of directors based in Alma, CO. Vision: To create global peace through music. Mission: To improve and enhance communities with music, through worldwide artist partnerships, music programs, and nonprofit support. We financially or materially support select nonprofit organizations whose missions focus on education, nutrition, housing, healthcare, and economic development. Some of the organizations that we have supported include, Schools for the Children of the World, Hope for Children of Africa, Building Hope, Summit Musicians Relief Fund, Summit Habitat for Humanity, Friends of the Fairplay Library, and South Park Food Bank.

That’s why Shine Music is launching our Accessibility Innovation Council, a community of individuals with disabilities who attend concerts, festivals, and live events and want to help influence the future of accessibility in entertainment.

We’re building a list of potential council members who may be invited to participate in future feedback sessions, discussions, and innovation opportunities that help us better understand current challenges and identify what assistive technologies and solutions are needed next.
