Come Boating Belfast Maine hosted their annual regatta yesterday, and we represented! 💪

“Beverly” placed 2nd and brought home hardware! 🦪

“The Baron” placed 5th and PRed!

The morning rain made launching boats a soggy slog, but the rowers didn’t let it distract them from the job.

Today was our longest row yet!

Brave, dedicated souls rowed through sun, fog, and sun again for breakfast in Belfast.

Thanks to our chase boat crew for keeping us safe and bringing us and The Baron back to our home port.

11 nm, just under 3 hrs, 6am departure, nature for days (🦭 🐦 🐬 🐟), but the 🐋 was elusive…

UPCOMING SPECIAL (ROWING) EVENT #2:
Belfast Rowing Regatta, Saturday, August 8, 11am
- 4-mile race hosted by Come Boating Belfast Maine
- fee is $50/person, Castine Rowing pays for 1/2 of your entry fee
- email [email protected] to express interest in being part fo the race team by 7/22, 5pm
- once we know the team, we'll schedule race training rows
- even if you don't make the team, we hope you come cheer us on!!!

Come Boating's 24th annual regatta is part of Belfast's Harbor Fest weekend. The race is open to any rowed or paddled boat. (sorry, no paddle boards.) We return to our traditional, 4-mile single race format this year. Early bird rate $45/person until July 15, regular rate $50/person.

UPCOMING SPECIAL (ROWING) EVENT #1:
Breakfast in Belfast, this Sunday, 7/26
- "The Baron" will leave Castine at 6am and row to Belfast (arriving ~8:30am)
- Once in Belfast, breakfast (we'll work on where once we know who's signed up)!
- Meanwhile another crew will drive to Belfast and meet the first crew for breakfast
- The fresh crew will row "The Baron" back to Castine (leaving Belfast ~9:30, arriving in Castine ~11)
- A friend has agreed to drive a chase boat in case of any fatigue, cramps, etc.
- one-way distance is 9.7 nautical miles (11+ miles)
- plan to "go dutch" for breakfast (pay your own check)

Delayed in letting y’all know that the missing fender is home!!!

We don’t know how, but the pair is reunited and The Baron is sufficiently fended again.
