Last Friday, Wyoming for Heroes bagpipers Audrey and Matt Mitchell had the honor of playing at the Wyoming Peace Officers Memorial in Douglas.

We are grateful to have been part of such a meaningful event for our Wyoming law enforcement. Thank you to all who continue to serve our communities across the state. 🇺🇸

Dr. Chris Hills serves as an advisor to Wyoming for Heroes in Teton County. He brings both military and nonprofit leadership experience to our organization. He served nine years on active duty in the United States Army, including deployment to Afghanistan with the 31st and 115th Combat Support Hospitals in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Beyond his military career, Dr. Hills is a co-founder and current board member of Wide Open: The Brody Hills Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening mental health resilience in teenagers. The foundation uniquely combines mentorship, outdoor activity, and the camaraderie of dirtbike riding to help young people build confidence, coping skills, and meaningful connections.

Dr. Hills’ background in service, leadership, and youth mental health advocacy provides valuable insight to our work. We are grateful for his passion and commitment to Wyoming for Heroes! 🇺🇸

Meet Dr. Eric Harris, a member of our Advisory Committee for Natrona and Albany County. 🇺🇸

Dr. Harris is a retired spine surgeon formerly with Premier Bone and Joint Centers. He is also a Navy veteran with nearly 30 years of service. Beginning his career at age 18 as a hospital corpsman, he worked his way through undergraduate and medical school to become an orthopedic spine surgeon. During his military career, he deployed to Afghanistan and the South Pacific.

Today, he continues his commitment to service through strong advocacy for veterans and their families. We’re lucky to have Dr. Harris as part of our team! 💙

At Wyoming for Heroes, our goal is to support veterans and first responders in every corner of our state. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our Advisory Committee. They are a group of dedicated community members from different regions of Wyoming. They help us with fundraising, outreach, and improving access to resources for their local veterans and first responders. 🇺🇸

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing the incredible individuals who volunteer their time and ideas to help serve Wyoming’s heroes and their families.

WOW Casper! We had SO much fun with you this Saint Patrick’s Day. 6 pubs. 6 hours. The energy never slowed…though maybe we did 😅

Thanks to the incredible support from our local community, we raised over $4,000 for Wyoming for Heroes!!

We can’t wait to do it all over again next year 🍀 in the meantime, keep an eye on this page. We’ve got more performances around Casper coming up! 🇺🇸💚
