Service & Sacrifice Park

09/13/2026

Dear Service & Sacrifice Park Supporters,

We wanted to take a moment to share a quick update and, most importantly, say thank you.

We know things may have seemed quiet recently, but there has been plenty happening behind the scenes. As with any construction project, we’ve experienced some scheduling and coordination delays with contractors and subcontractors. While those details have taken a little longer than anticipated, we are continuing to work through them and move the project forward.

We’re also excited to share that we reached our fundraising goal for this year! That is a tremendous milestone, and it would not have been possible without the incredible generosity and support of our donors and sponsors.

We are gaining momentum, and the vision for Service & Sacrifice Park remains strong!

Thank you to everyone who has believed in this project, supported our efforts, and continues to stand behind this vision. We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

We can’t wait to share more progress with you and, one day soon, celebrate the grand opening together!

For ongoing updates and to see our progress so far, be sure to follow our Service & Sacrifice Park page.

With sincere gratitude,

The Service & Sacrifice Park Team

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001. Never Forget.
25 years later, we remember.

We remember the firefighters, EMTs, police officers, and countless heroes who ran toward danger while others were running away—and gave everything.

We remember the families who lost loved ones and continue to carry that loss.

And we remember how our nation came together. We stood united.

🇺🇸 Today we remember. We honor. We never forget.

Service & Sacrifice Park ~ Honoring those who serve. Remembering those who sacrificed.

These beautiful plaques will be placed at the base of the pillars on the monument, serving as a lasting reminder of the people and organizations who helped make this vision a reality.

A huge thank you to these incredible sponsors for believing in the vision of Service & Sacrifice Park and investing in a place that honors those who have served and protected our communities.

These sponsors recognize the service, courage, and sacrifices of our veterans and first responders, and we are incredibly grateful for their generosity and support.

This park is being built because of people who believe that those who serve deserve to be remembered and honored. 🇺🇸

Thank you for helping us build something that will honor their legacy for generations to come.

Huge thanks to NOV for helping make this project possible! We’re excited to see the park continue to take shape.
Pictured is NOV welder constructing the monument. After this step is completed it will go to Wyoming signs to have the graphics installed. We are waiting on the concrete engineer to return the drawings so we can pour the cement for the monument foundation.

As with any large community project, we’ve encountered a few unexpected challenges and additional hurdles along the way. While we had hoped to have the park open by July 4th, fundraising efforts which began in February of this year and the work required to complete the installation by that July 4th date proved to be a significant undertaking.

We’re incredibly grateful to the donors and community partners who have made this project possible. Their generosity is the reason this park is coming together, and we’re excited about what it will ultimately mean for our community.

We can’t hardly wait to continue sharing these little sneak peeks as the project progresses. There’s a lot to look forward to! ❤️

A little sneak peek of Service & Sacrifice Park 🇺🇸

We’ve been waiting a long time to see this vision come together, and we wanted to give you a little glimpse of what’s taking shape.

Our original goal was to have the park ready to open by the Fourth of July.
Clearly… that didn’t happen. 😅 We’ve hit snafu after snafu along the way, and coordinating a project with so many different contractors, deliveries, installations, engineering, permits, and moving pieces has been an interesting process.

The good news? Most of the pieces are here and ready to go. Many of the items are already in Public Works storage, waiting for their turn to become part of the park.

We are still working through a few remaining pieces, including some delays related to the right-of-way easement, which has slowed down portions of the project more than we anticipated.

And these benches? ❤️🇺🇸 Westech created these beauties! 😍

They are just one small part of what will make Service & Sacrifice Park a place where we can gather, remember, honor and reflect for years to come.

Thank you for your patience as we work through the final details. We may not have opened on the date we hoped for, but we’re getting there and I think it’s going to be worth the wait.

More sneak peeks coming soon.

Service & Sacrifice Park update:

Our park benches are nearly finished, and we couldn’t be more excited to see this piece of the vision coming together. A sincere thank you to Austin Engineering for their craftsmanship and partnership in building these beautiful benches for our park.

We’ve also been notified that the park pillars are currently under construction and will be installed soon.

While we may miss our original July 4th target for opening, work is continuing behind the scenes with care and attention to detail. We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and support as we move forward on this project.

Stay tuned for more updates on our grand opening date.

We’ve been quiet the past couple months, but still working hard behind the scenes. Here’s a little update on the exciting progress happening at Service and Sacrifice Park! 🇺🇸

Today we met with our electrical engineers to begin mapping out the park’s sound and lighting systems, and work continues on fabrication, construction, and pillar designs with our design team.

We’re also hoping to begin concrete work soon and are excited to receive our benches from Austin in the near future. Things are moving along beautifully, and every step brings this vision closer to reality.

Be watching for progress updates and new photos as construction continues. Our goal is to open by the 4th of July, and we can’t wait to share more details as we get closer.

Thank you all for your continued support of this meaningful project. ❤️
