We strive to teach boys and girls in grades K-5 the values of citizenship, character, personal fitness, and leadership. Come have a blast with us at this exciting first event for the 2024-25 school year! Design and build your very own soda bottle rockets, which we will launch the following week at the Pack meeting.

We will be working on the pinewood derby cars so please make sure your kids bring them.

Cashmere Cub Scouts,

I'm thrilled to announce we have enough adult leaders and cub scouts to get the Pack officially restarted! Below is a brief recap of last week's meeting for those unable to attend.

The plan is to move forward with baby steps. We are shooting to have our first Pack meeting sometime towards the end of next month and it will be the Pinewood Derby. Between then and now I'm working with the Wenatchee Packs to line up some meetings for our adults and kids to shadow so we can learn from them instead of reinventing the wheel. I will send out information to the adult volunteers as soon as I hear back from Wenatchee on dates/times.

Once our leaders are comfortable with how to run a Den meeting of their own, we will schedule 1-2 Den meetings before the Pack meeting so kids can work on their Pinewood Derby cars.

Another big item that was brought up Wednesday's meeting was the fact there are ZERO registration fees for all scouts and adult leaders during the first 12 months of the Pack's formation. This is because the Chief Seattle Council has a program to help cover our costs while we get started! That means that any initial application received between now and 31 January 2025 should be covered. Feel free to email your applications anytime, or if you prefer we can set up a time to meet for a hardcopy handoff. Oh, and don't be shy about getting the word out to other Cashmere parents!
