Cub Scout meeting tonight at 6:30 pm in the Scout Hall! Anyone that wasn’t at the last meeting can pick up their Pinewood Derby car kits and get a recap of the rules that we went over last time. Then we’ll go over the friction/speed sub-topic and plan for next week’s session at NCW Woodshop.

See you tonight!

There is no Cub Scout meeting on Monday, February 16 in observance of the President's Day holiday, but here is an activity your Scout might enjoy and a potential qualifying activity for the Conservation Adventure.

The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is a global community science project supported by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society.

Spend as little as 15 minutes outside each day February 13-16 noticing the birds around you. Identify and/or photograph them, count them, and submit your counts by March 1 to help scientists better understand and protect birds around the world.

Participating Scouts are encouraged to bring their notes and photos to the next Cub Scout meeting on Monday, February 23. Scout leaders can help identify any unidentified birds you saw and enter everything into the database if needed.

Participating is easy, fun to do alone or with others, and can be done anywhere you find birds. Simply watch birds for 15 minutes or more, at least once over the four days and tell us what you see!
