URGENT BOLO: This pup was attacked by a coyote last night but escaped. Now hurt & lost in the vicinity of Hunter Rd (La Cholla Blvd & Moore Rd) TUCSON/MARANA/ORO VALLEY AZ. Thank goodness I had the vet come out! Fluid was filling her shoulder and chest and she was able to stick 2 fingers all the way up into the wound. She said it was badly infected so she’ll be on antibiotics for awhile. This injury occurred prior to arriving at the kill pen and was untreated - what’s wrong with people!?

We’re scheduling to have the one eye removed in a month after she’s had a chance to settle into her new home with us. The eye has already ruptured so she’s not in any pain at the moment. Again I ask - what’s wrong with people!? 😡

Again I ask for donations to help cover the vet costs to make Fiona healthy again!

So here is the wound on Fiona’s shoulder and her shoulder is swelling from what I can only assume is an infection setting in. Dr Ciara is coming out today to stitch it up, inject pain meds and antibiotics. She’s also going to assess her eyes to see what our next steps are.

She’s also going to be giving Pistol an injection in his arthritic knee. Pain meds aren’t helping so I’m hoping the injection will.

Overall the visit today is going to cost me $1,800.

Plus I have to figure in $1,300 for at least 1 eye removal in the near future.
