🎄The Carthage Area Chamber of Commerce Retail committee recently held “Christmas in July” to help support Carthage Kiwanis for 2026 Christmas for Kids. Local retailors: Lilly's Gift and Sweet Shop, Cups & Crafts, The Velvet Hanger, Lou Lou’s Bargain Den, Berry Creek Creations, Ben Franklin Carthage, and Mahoney's Coffee held this special event from July 18th-25th. Customers were asked to buy or bring in a new/unwrapped Christmas toy to donate and they would receive a “Golden ticket” to be used for a special at participating businesses. The Carthage Kiwanis club would like to thank the retailers and generous donors for these special gifts, they are greatly appreciated!

Thank you to the First Baptist Church for letting use their space for the event!

If you would like to help, donations can be dropped off at Marine Bank, given to a Kiwanis member, or mailed to PO Box 94 Carthage, IL 62321.

If you have not registered, you are welcome to attend the walk-in session from 8:00-8:30 PM. During the walk-in period, families will be able to select from the remaining available items on a first-come, first-served basis.

📚 Our Kiwanis Back-to-School Event is coming up on July 17th!

All parents who registered their children should have received an email or text message with their scheduled appointment time. If you did not receive your appointment information, please call 309-313-2714.

If you have not yet registered, you are welcome to attend the walk-in session from 8:00–8:30 PM on July 17th. During the walk-in period, families will be able to select from the remaining available items on a first-come, first-served basis.
