Thank you so much to our friends at The church of Christ at Center Grove who helped us sort bags into sizing and seasons to make our job of organizing so much easier on us. 🎃👻 Our Halloween costume racks are FULL! 👻🎃

A huge THANK YOU to every one of our wonderful donors who helped us make this possible! Because of you, children in our community have a chance to feel the excitement and fun of Halloween.

These costumes are available to:
✨ Children currently in foster care
✨ Children in kinship placements
✨ ANY child in need

Maybe a family is walking through a recent house fire, unexpected crisis, financial hardship, or simply circumstances completely outside of their control. Whatever the reason, we don’t want a child to miss out on the fun of Halloween.

We don’t want any child showing up to school or daycare without a costume if they want one. And we don’t want a child who wants to go trick-or-treating to feel like they have to sit it out because their family can’t afford a costume.

Scroll through the albums and see if we have a costume in the size you need! If you find one, send us a message and we’ll arrange pickup.

And teachers, daycare workers, counselors, and others who work with children — please reach out to us too! You may know of a child who needs a costume, even if their family hasn’t asked for help. Sometimes asking is hard. Sometimes pride gets in the way. That’s okay. We understand. You can advocate for that child on their behalf, and we’ll be happy to help however we can.

Because every child deserves to feel a little bit of Halloween magic. 🎃👻

We’ve only had a handful of orders so far, so we wanted to post again about our T-Shirt Fundraiser.

Every dollar we make from these shirts is helping us work toward a dream we’ve had since the beginning, our own building.

A place where we can keep more donations, serve more families, have more of what children need on hand, and hopefully get to the point where when a family reaches out we can always say YES.

So if you need a Christmas shirt, grab a cowboy santa and know that your purchase is helping us get one step closer to that dream. Or grab our original design in Comfort Color style.

As the temperatures begin to drop, we want to make sure every child in need has something warm to wear this winter.

For the entire month of October, we’re collecting cold-weather essentials in ALL SIZES — babies through teens!

✨ WHAT WE NEED: 🧥🧤❄️
• Winter coats & jackets
• Hats, gloves & mittens
• NEW warm socks & boots
• Thermal layers & outdoor bibs
• Blankets & other cold-weather necessities

NEW OR GENTLY USED items are welcome! Please make sure all gently used items are clean, stain-free, and in good condition so we can pass them along with dignity and love.

Every coat, every pair of gloves, every warm pair of socks has the potential to make a child’s winter a little warmer.

📍 Donations can be dropped off at any of our Riddley’s Helping Hands drop-off locations or contact us if you need another way to get your donation to us.

📦 CHURCHES, BUSINESSES, SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS & FELLOW NONPROFITS:

Because of this little farmstand and the caring owners who run it, they were able to raise almost $400 to help us purchase Halloween costumes for local children in need this season.

Wow. How blessed are we to have businesses like this one who trust us with their hard-earned money and believe in us to make sure it gets into the right hands — the hands of children who need it most.

So, with that being said…

🎃 If you are a foster family, kinship family, OR a family with a child who needs a Halloween costume, please reach out to us. 🎃

Many schools in our community allow students to dress up during the week leading up to Halloween. For some children, that can be an exciting time… but for a child whose family simply cannot afford a costume, it can also be a reminder that they may not get to participate.

We want to change that.

As the owners of Sunnie & Bud's Farmstand shared:

“We are SO excited to partner with Riddley’s Helping Hands to help make sure children whose families may not be able to purchase a Halloween costume this year still get to experience the fun and excitement of dressing up for Halloween.”

And:

“Corey and I have been blessed so much over the years, and we want to use this little farmstand to pour some of those blessings back into our community. We know we can’t help everyone, but if we can help one family, put a smile on one child’s face, or make things just a little easier for someone, then it’s worth it.”

That is exactly what this is about.

We are going to do our absolute best to help every child we can, while continuing to meet the many other needs that come through RHH.

So please be patient with us as we work through requests, but if your child needs a costume, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Today, this truck was loaded down with a bed, mattress, dresser, and chest of drawers, comforter, and full size sheets all donated to Riddley’s Helping Hands and all headed to one very deserving little girl.

She’s 9 years old and currently in a kinship placement. Her family reached out because she needed something so many of us take for granted…

A bedroom of her own.

And because of the generosity of people who donate to RHH, we were able to say:

“Yes. We have it.”

Every piece in this truck was donated by someone who simply wanted to help a child. And today, those donations are becoming a safe, comfortable space for a little girl who deserves to feel settled, loved, and at home.

This is why we do what we do.

You never know exactly where your donation will end up…

But we can promise you this: when a child has a need and we have the ability to help, we want to be able to say YES. 🤍

This sweet foster care kiddo needed a walker. It wasn’t something we had on our shelves, so because of the generosity of people who give to Riddley’s Helping Hands, we were able to purchase one for him.

And now… he has what he needs to move, explore, play, and simply be a kid.

Your money doesn’t just go into an account. It goes directly toward meeting real needs for real children in our community.

Every dollar given helps us say YES when a foster family, kinship family, DCS worker, or child in crisis reaches out and says, “We need help.”

This little walker is just one example of what your generosity makes possible.

You gave him more than a walker.
You gave him an opportunity to keep moving forward.

We’ve received another request for items we don’t currently have on hand, and we’d love to see if our RHH village can help!

✨ Dresser — for a baby girl’s clothing
✨ Full-size sheet set — for a 9-year-old girl
✨ Twin & full-size sheet sets — gender-neutral sets are especially needed for future requests!

The bed will be picked up and delivered tomorrow, so these items are needed as soon as possible if anyone has something they’d be willing to donate. 🤍
