Congratulations Mark Davis!

🏆 A well-deserved honor for one of the best in agricultural education!

Congratulations to Carthage High School Agricultural Science teacher and Carthage alumnus Mark on being recognized as an Outstanding Area VI Teacher during the opening session of the 2026 Agriculture Teachers Association of Texas (ATAT) Professional Development Conference in Corpus Christi.

The Outstanding Experienced Teacher Award is among the highest honors in Texas agricultural education. Each year, one experienced teacher from each ATAT area is nominated and evaluated at the state level based on excellence in teaching, student success, agricultural program development, and a demonstrated commitment to inspiring the next generation.

For decades, Mark has dedicated his career to serving the students of Carthage ISD. As a Bulldog graduate who returned home to teach, he has built a program defined by excellence while mentoring countless students in the classroom, through FFA, and beyond. His impact can be seen not only in awards and accomplishments, but in the character, leadership, and success of the young people he has helped shape.

This recognition is a reflection of a lifetime of investing in students, strengthening agricultural education, and giving back to the community that helped shape him.

Congratulations, Mark, on this incredible and well-earned honor. Bulldog Nation is proud to celebrate you! 🐾

🐾🌟 Carthage FFA represented Bulldog Nation with excellence at the 98th Annual Texas FFA Convention in Fort Worth! 🌟🐾

Nineteen Carthage FFA members attended the annual convention, where eight students earned the prestigious Texas FFA Lone Star Degree—the highest degree awarded by the Texas FFA Association.

The Lone Star Degree recognizes students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to agricultural education through classroom achievement, leadership, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects, community service, and FFA involvement. Fewer than 5% of Texas FFA members earn this distinguished honor each year.
