The girls will play for the chance to go to state on Monday night at 7 pm on the campus of SIUC. Go Lions!

A special moment for Carterville Athletics as we proudly dedicated our new scoreboard—a visible reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together for its students.

We want to extend our deepest thanks to all past and current Carterville Booster Club members. Your dedication, hard work, and countless volunteer hours over the years have helped make projects like this possible. From fundraising to event support, your commitment continues to strengthen every athletic program at Carterville.

A very special thank you to Banterra Bank for their tremendous support and partnership with Carterville Athletics. Their generosity played a key role in this scoreboard project and reflects their ongoing commitment to investing in our students, schools, and community.

This scoreboard is more than lights and numbers—it represents community pride, opportunity, and support for our student-athletes, now and for generations to come.

As the top sponsor of their new digital scoreboard, Banterra’s local team was proud to be recognized at last night’s Carterville High School Boys Basketball Game. Brett Diel, Assistant Principal and Unit Athletic Director for Carterville High School holds a check representing the $65,000 contribution with Kristina Scott, EVP and Chief Banking Officer for Banterra. Others Banterra team members represented include Carterville residents Jennifer Spence, Ben Craft, Charity Lantagne and Kaylyn Watts.

We hope that this can bring extra excitement to game days for the community and a reminder that you can always score big with Banterra as your partner.
