The 2016 Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Health Summit: Reducing Obesity & Related Chronic Diseases is the first national-level effort in the U.S. to address the obesity epidemic that plagues our Pacific Islander community. Representatives from more than 30 community-based organizations, churches, health institutions, federal and local government departments, and businesses across the country a

re working together to make this inaugural event a success. Day 1 of the summit will feature roundtables, panel discussions, lectures, exhibits, and a poster session all aimed providing invaluable information and building community networks. Day 2 will offer numerous informational and health screening vendors, mobile clinics, family fitness activities, motivational guest speakers, and entertainers.
