Congratulations to the UNLV School of Dental Medicine students on this incredible milestone! 🤍
NDA President Dr. Aimee Abittan had the honor of speaking to the students and welcoming them into Nevada’s dental community as they received their white coats.
As she shared, the white coat represents more than knowledge, responsibility, and the privilege of caring for others. It also represents belonging.
Dentistry may sometimes feel individual, but the profession was never meant to be practiced alone. There will be moments when the most valuable thing you have is not another instrument or textbook, but a colleague, mentor, or friend you can call who says, “I’ve been there. Let’s figure this out.”
That is the community of dentistry, and that is why organized dentistry matters.
The Nevada Dental Association is proud to be part of a profession that connects generations of dentists and creates opportunities for mentorship, advocacy, friendship, and support.
To our UNLV dental students: there is a place for your ideas, your voice, and the kind of dentist you are becoming.
Welcome to dentistry.
Welcome to Nevada’s dental community.
And congratulations—you have earned this moment.
We at the Nevada Dental Association are so proud of you. 🎓🦷
