Scouting teaches youth a lot of important skills and values. One of those values is the duty of American citizens to properly care for and respect our nationโ€™s flag.

Do you know how to properly fold a U.S. flag? Turn to page 59 of the Scouts BSA Handbook:

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Fold the flag in half lengthwise so the striped half covers the blue field.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Fold it in half again.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Bring the lower striped corner to the upper edge, forming a triangle.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Fold the upper point in to form another triangle. Continue until the entire length of the flag is folded.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ When you get near the end, with nothing but the blue field showing, tuck the last bit into the other folds to secure it.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Fold the upper point into form another triangle. Continue until the entire length of the flag is folded.
