Scouting teaches youth a lot of important skills and values. One of those values is the duty of American citizens to properly care for and respect our nationโs flag.
Do you know how to properly fold a U.S. flag? Turn to page 59 of the Scouts BSA Handbook:
๐บ๐ธ Fold the flag in half lengthwise so the striped half covers the blue field.
๐บ๐ธ Fold it in half again.
๐บ๐ธ Bring the lower striped corner to the upper edge, forming a triangle.
๐บ๐ธ Fold the upper point in to form another triangle. Continue until the entire length of the flag is folded.
๐บ๐ธ When you get near the end, with nothing but the blue field showing, tuck the last bit into the other folds to secure it.
๐บ๐ธ Fold the upper point into form another triangle. Continue until the entire length of the flag is folded.
