❤️🐾 CANELO’S FREEDOM RIDE! 🐾❤️

Canelo is out of the Las Vegas shelter and on his way to a fresh start in Arizona!

It takes a village to make a freedom ride happen, and we have so many people to thank for helping Canelo get his second chance.

A special thank you to all the volunteers who took the time to visit Canelo at the Las Vegas shelter, evaluate him, and send videos to help us learn more about him. That information is so important in helping us make the right decisions for our dogs.

❤️ Thank you to everyone who made this possible:

- Tracy – Nevada, for picking Canelo up and staying with him as he woke up from surgery
- Arin – Nevada
- Thomas – Nevada
- Daniel – Arizona
- Kellie – Arizona
- Tamara – Arizona
- K9 Rox Club for boarding Canelo and offering rescue a discounted rate
- And last but certainly not least, Canelo’s foster family, Joanne and Mark, for opening their home to him!

From Las Vegas to Arizona, it took a whole team of caring people to get Canelo safely to where he needed to be.

This is what rescue looks like. Everyone plays a part, and every part matters.

Thank you all for being there for Canelo! ❤️

Archie is living his best life vacationing in Carmel! 🌊🐾

Why run when you can SWIM?! 😂 Archie loves fetching his stick in the water, and it wears him out completely! Who needs a gym when you have the ocean?

Bonus points for the hotel having an outdoor shower with HOT water to wash off all that fun! Now that’s dog-friendly hospitality! 🚿🐶

And yes, he really is the sweetest boy! ❤️ At 100 pounds, he’s a whole lot of dog wrapped up in one gentle, lovable package!

❤️ CANELO IS OUT OF THE SHELTER! ❤️

Canelo was pulled from the Las Vegas shelter this evening, and we couldn’t be happier to get him moving toward a new beginning.

Poor boy was neutered today and had to be carried to the car by shelter staff. Volunteer Tracy was there to drive him to boarding for the night, and she stayed with him until he woke up a little and was doing better. ❤️

Tomorrow, a team of transport volunteers will get him on the road to his foster home in Arizona!

It takes a village to get these dogs where they need to be, and we are so grateful for everyone who stepped up for Canelo. From getting him out of the shelter to giving up time to drive him to safety, every person made a difference.

Canelo, your next chapter starts now. You’ve got people rooting for you! 💙🐾
