Med4 started as a wish and dream in the minds of Dr. Christine Brody, an ObGyn, and Valishia Chapman who had traveled to the Casa Bernabe orphanage in Nicaragua in early 2010. Their desire to help not only the kids but the entire community around them spurred the first medical mission later that year to the El Samaritano Clinic. From there the dream grew to return with a larger and more diverse te

ams to attend the various needs of the orphanage and the local community. Med4 has now expanded its surgical mission trips to Fiji, including a hospital renovation team. Med4 is a volunteer group of physicians, nurses and many other medical and non-medical people who have come together through a special bond and desire to help those in this world who have limited access to health care and especially surgical care. Med4 teams have now provided surgical care in Nicaragua and Fiji.
