FOLLOW YOUR DREAM BORDER COLLIE/SHELTIE RESCUE is located in a small country setting and is a small rescue with a big heart dedicated to rescuing/rehabilitating/training many Border Collies and Shelties. This blossomed into a heartfelt desire to help them due to one snowy day in December when a border collie named Ranger came into our lives. Ranger was a chained puppy with no dog house when I rece
ived an urgent email in 2007, as a 6 month old pup. When I drove up to the farm in a snow blizzard, there he was, running to and fro on a chain in the mud and piles of loose f***s and no food or water or dog house. I could not wait to get him into the car and drive home in the snow. When we looked at each other there was an instant bonding and that bond has grown stronger each day. We have a unspoken understanding and love that cannot be explained. It took me six months to get his system straightened out, fully vetted and then the training began. As we look into each others eyes, we knew what each was thinking and wanted. This is the most incredible relationship I have ever had with a dog. Then there is Rudy, my 5 year old beautiful, bi-black sheltie who was rescued with his two sisters and brother as 8 week old pups running loose on a farm in PA with nothing but an old run down tractor shed for shelter. Rudy was the runt, but what a boy. His brother and sisters found loving homes through rescue and Rudy stayed with me because there was something about Rudy that tugged on my heart. Our love and relationship has grown through the years and he is my most loyal sheltie. We are a volunteer organization dedicated to helping abandoned, abused, chained, unwanted, stray and misunderstood border collies and shelties throughout Eastern US. We provide spay/neuter as well as total veterinary care, and micro chipping for each dog coming into rescue. Each rescue dog will receive obedience, house, crate and leash training, socialization with other dogs, love, affection, and good nutrition/food to prepare them for a better life in a forever home.
