YOU’RE INVITED! Join us at the Hopewell Museum this Sunday (Sept. 20) from 4 to 6 p.m. as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Creative Harvest art exhibit. This year’s reception also doubles as a celebration of the museum’s newly reopened front steps, so we’re making an afternoon of it.

At 4:30 p.m., the Chamber of Commerce will lead a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. Stick around for the porch party, where you can try the new Hopewell Open Door Punch served in signature cups, and Ethereal Brewing will be onsite pouring b**r and w**e. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout as you tour the exhibit.

Come raise a glass and celebrate this milestone with us. All are welcome!

Hello art lovers. The day has come that there aren't enough local artists interested in showing their work at our CSAG yearly member's show. We only have four people who have indicated an interest. Louise Zachary and I have chosen to cancel the show for this year. If anyone is interested in taking over and breathing new life into the Courthouse Square Arts Guild, we would be glad to support you in your efforts.

Goodbye for now and thank you for your previous support.

Sincerely,
Linda Klutka and Louise Zachary

⭐️THIS FRIDAY!! ART EXHIBIT OPENING

FRIDAY, SEPT 4
5-7 p.m.

BECOMING
Featured Artist: Jenny Deiter

Kentucky-based painter Jenny Deiter explores memory, atmosphere, and the shifting relationship between landscape and emotion. Working in layered acrylics, Deiter creates paintings that move fluidly between observation and abstraction, using color, texture, and light to evoke a sense of place rather than simply describe it.

BECOMING brings together studio explorations, recent work, and new large-scale paintings that reflects the continued evolution of Deiter’s artistic voice. Across the exhibition, familiar elements of landscape are transformed through layers of paint, gesture, and atmosphere, revealing a practice grounded in both observation and intuitive exploration.

The exhibition offers a glimpse into an artist in motion—one whose work continues to develop through experimentation with color, texture, and the emotional possibilities of landscape. BECOMING captures this evolving process, inviting viewers to consider not only the places depicted, but the memories, sensations, and emotions that shape our experience of them.
