***TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT***

The Hazleton City Fire Department in conjunction with Hazle Township Fire & Rescue are hosting Beyond Sidewalk Supervision by Deputy Chief Floyd Wise.

The class is FREE and will be held Saturday September 26th, 2026 starting at 8:00am at the Hazleton Area High School.

Deputy Chief Brian Teears is a 24 year veteran of the Philadelphia Fire Department and is part of Philly Tin Helmet Training, LLC. Chief Teears will be presenting the class “Front Seat Leadership”

There is a $20.00 payment due at time of registration to save your seat, however this payment will be fully refunded to each person when they sign in at the event which makes this training opportunity FREE for everyone!!

The Camp Fire Conference is 2 weeks away and only 1 more week register. Registration will close Monday August 17th @ noon. This is a great opportunity to spend a day with Fire Service leaders and like minded individuals. The cost is $75.00 which includes 4 speakers, light breakfast, Lunch, access to some great raffles all benefiting an outstanding organization Camp Freedom

Pennsylvania American Water would like to invite you to join us for a Firefighter Appreciation Baseball Game at PNC Field, home of the SWB RailRiders, on Friday, August 7. The evening will feature a post-game fireworks show and a special appearance by competitive eating legend Joey Chestnut. Firefighters and their guests are also invited onto the field to watch the fireworks, and children will have the opportunity to run the bases after the game.

As a thank you for everything you do for our community, we'd like to provide complimentary tickets for you and members of your department to enjoy a night at the ballpark.

To request tickets, please complete the attached registration form with attendee names and the number of tickets requested. Because tickets are limited, submitting a request does not guarantee availability. We will follow up to confirm your tickets. Attendees will check in at the front gate upon arrival.
