We are very late in posting this but we had a purrfectly lovely time volunteering with Colorado Animal Rescue in September! We helped set up for their Dressed to the K9s fundraising gala, and then assisted with their Cat Cash wall. 😻

Volunteer with G4G and Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers!

Sunday, August 30 from 8am-3pm (you are not required to stay the whole time!)

Like many of the trails within the Glenwood Canyon, the Jess Weaver trail was heavily damaged by the Grizzly Creek wildfire in 2020 and the subsequent flooding during the summer of 2021. For the first time since 2021, RFOV volunteers will return to the Jess Weaver Trail for a Community Project in partnership with the USFS, National Forest Foundation and Contour Logic.

This project will be highly strenuous--but equally rewarding--and will allow volunteers to provide updates the high ridge connector trail between the No Name creek and Grizzly creek basins. Additional (less strenuous) work will be available along the extent of the Jess Weaver Trail.

Join us for a day in this beautiful canyon!

All volunteers must register with G4G and RFOV, and sign the RFOV waiver.

Join us for our next service project - this time with Roaring Fork Conservancy! Sign up to support their annual Watershed Cleanup.

Volunteers will help protect the local ecosystem by removing trash and debris from the watershed, preventing pollution from entering nearby waterways and harming wildlife. This hands-on project supports ongoing conservation efforts and helps maintain a cleaner, healthier environment for the surrounding community. Location details will be shared closer to the event and will take place in the Basalt area.

By removing trash and debris from the watershed with Roaring Fork Conservancy during Pride for the Planet, volunteers will help protect local waterways, reduce pollution that threatens wildlife, and support the long-term health and resilience of this vital ecosystem in direct support of the organization’s conservation mission.
