Another robotics season in the books! 🧡🖤

We had an incredible time at FIRST Chesapeake’s Pasadena & Bethesda events with Pi-rannosaurus Rex 🦖. Proud to make playoff runs at both and compete with top DMV teams.

We’re just getting started! New outreach initiatives and offseason competitions are coming this summer.

Let’s be honest, everyone’s a little irrational.

We're thrilled to share an incredible weekend of competition at the FIRST Chesapeake Pasadena, MD event!

Our team roared through the qualification rounds, ranking 8/34 and becoming the captains of Alliance 5.

Huge thanks to our exceptional alliance partners, Team 6863 Squirrels and Team 9033 Ocebots, for an amazing partnership!

About Us:
We’re FIRST FRC Team 6239, The Irrational Engineers based in Capitol Heights, MD, and we welcome students (aged 13 and older) from any skill level to join our team.

We’re on a mission to inspire the next generation of students to inventively solve tomorrow’s problems.

What You’ll Learn:
• Robotics Skills: Building, Wiring, and Programming Robots
• Business Skills: Planning, Fundraising, Writing, Presenting, and Design
• Life Skills: Teamwork, Leadership, Problem-Solving, and Communication

Our Schedule:
• June - December: Dive into training, promoting, fundraising, and outreach projects!
• January - April: Get hands-on building and testing a new robot from the ground up!
• March - April: Show off your robot at local competitions in March, and aim for the stars at the Regional and World Championships in April.
