The Restoration Community Care Center Meal Giveaway Project Tour is where we, as a nonprofit, travel to different low-income and income-based housing communities in Canton, OH, and provide the residents with a meal (i.e., pizza and chicken, sandwiches and pasta salad, etc.), chips, a treat (popsicles or ice cream), a beverage, and activities (i.e., bubbles, outdoor games, etc.) for the kids. Each housing unit counts as a "stop." The stops are usually done on Mondays and Fridays, and/or Saturdays. We are looking to expand the project tour to Massillon. This event/program allows us to show underprivileged and underserved communities that we care and that they will not go unnoticed. This is a way to interact with kids and families who may not have or receive much.
