Cherokee Friends of Recovery Supporting the development and success of Accountability Courts in Cherokee County by providing resources, education, and advocacy. (Cherokee F.O.R.)

The Cherokee Friends of Recovery Foundation, Inc. was originally formed in 2007 to support the Cherokee County DUI/Drug Court. As Accountability Courts continue to grow in Cherokee County, F.O.R. expanded its mission to include all four of the Accountability Courts; DUI Court, Drug Accountability Court (Felony), Treatment Accountability Court (Mental Health), and Veterans Treatment Court. Cherokee

F.O.R. supports the Accountability Courts by conducting fundraising and administration
of the steering committee(s). Every step forward in recovery deserves to be celebrated. Congratulations to this DBT group on completing another treatment class and continuing to invest in their growth. Great job to the Blue Ridge Circuit Drug Accountability Court team for supporting recovery through evidence-based treatment and meaningful connection.

Our DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) Group had a wonderful time celebrating each other’s company during our sober outing at Georgian Hills Restaurant in downtown Canton!

We also celebrated the completion of another evidence-based treatment class — and these guys are absolutely rocking it!

Program Coordinator, Lynn Epps, and Treatment Coordinator/Facilitator of DBT, Ruby Ramirez, joined in to congratulate everyone on their hard work and dedication.

We are so proud of y’all! Keep reaching for the stars! ⭐

It's graduation season, and we have plenty more program participants to celebrate! 🎓 Please join Judge Shannon Wallace and the Cherokee County Treatment Accountability Court on Friday, June 19th, 2026 at 2:00 PM in celebrating the accomplishments of the upcoming graduates. The graduation ceremony will be held in the Auditorium of 94 North Street, Canton Georgia 30114.

A meaningful evening recognizing the impact of Cherokee County's Accountability Courts and the individuals whose lives have been transformed through recovery.

We're thankful for the judges, court teams, treatment providers, mentors, graduates, participants, and community partners who make Cherokee County's Accountability Courts such a powerful force for positive change.

Thank you to the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners for proclaiming May as Treatment Court Awareness Month and to the participants who courageously shared their stories.

We're excited to see the Accountability Courts kick off the Sobriety Kickball League! ⚽

Recovery is built through accountability, encouragement, and community, and the journey of recovery doesn't end at graduation. Programs like the Sobriety Kickball League create opportunities for connection, healthy competition, and ongoing support among participants from DUI, Veterans Court, FTC, TAC, and DAC.

Wishing all of the teams a great season both on and off the field. We're cheering you on every step of the way!

Our Accountability Courts — DUI, Veterans Court, FTC, TAC, and DAC — are proud to kick off a Sober Kickball League featuring both graduates and current participants!

Teams will be facing off against each other starting June 12th, and we’d love for you to come out and support these incredible individuals on and off the field.
