Talking about bullying through an equity lens isn’t easy—but it’s necessary.

When we center belonging, listen to lived experiences, and work together as a community, we move from reaction to prevention and from harm to healing.

These conversations matter.
Our students matter.

Check out Kamora's Cultural Corner's Annual Fall Educational Series, details can be found below:

Finding Cultural Humility within My Grandmother’s Hands is a 12-week* somatic abolitionist discussion group rooted in the teachings of My Grandmother’s Hands by Resmaa Menakem. Through weekly sessions, participants engage in embodied learning, storytelling, and reflection that deepen personal awareness while building authentic relationships across lines of difference. The series fosters brave space for healing and connection, allowing individuals to grow together, challenge internalized biases, and strengthen community bonds through shared commitment and vulnerability.

Days lately seem otherwise but we are reminded…
When day comes, we step out of the shade, aflame and unafraid.
The new dawn blooms as we free it.
For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it.
If only we’re brave enough to be it.

Black History Month began as Negro History Week in 1926, founded by Dr. Carter G. Woodson to highlight Black contributions often ignored in history. He chose February to honor Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln. It expanded to a month in 1976 and is now celebrated globally. Let’s honor Black history, achievements, and resilience! ✊🏽
