This one hits home.
Get attached, that's the whole point. But when you do, know that you're on this journey with an entire village of people ready to walk with you. You don't have to go through the hardest parts of foster parenting alone. 💜

Don't let the movies, TV shows, headlines or other stories define how you think about children in foster care. When you start meeting the children in our community who've had to enter care, you'll be blown away by their courage, resilience, and personalities, and the the honor that it is to know them and their stories.

Foster parents aren't special people: They're just normal people who've said "yes" to the opportunity.
