Each week we have people complaining that our free pet food distributions only last for one hour, every other week.
Some complain that their pets do not like the food we giveaway.
Some complain that they cannot attend because of their church obligations.
Others complain that we only are open for cat spay and neuter reservations two days a week for only 2-1/2 hours each day.
Others call and complain about having to pay $30 to have a stray or outdoor cat fixed. That is about 30% of our cost to have the cats fixed. We have to raise every dollar of the difference!
DID YOU KNOW THAT EVERYONE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF TNR, TO THE FOOD BAGGERS ARE VOLUNTEERS AND GET NO MONETARY COMPENSATION!
We have approximately 20 volunteers. many of them volunteer from 10 to 35 hours per week of their time. Most are senior citizens.
At a food giveaway a few weeks ago, we passed out volunteer applications to about 60 cars that came through the line. Know how many volunteers we got. ZERO!
If you are not satisfied with the hours we operate, or the cost of services we provide, THEN VOLUNTEER TO HELP!!!
