💕 For years, I’ve been the one helping others. Today, I’m asking for help.

After Hurricane Helene, my husband and I lost our West Asheville location. Even after our donated funds from our pet sanctuary funds were depleted, we continued helping dogs and families with our own personal money.

Now I’ve been invited to join The Great American Road Rally, a national Route 66 television event.

My goal is to use this opportunity to help more dogs, educate pet owners, and support charities along the way—but I need to raise $10,000 by August 5 to reach the starting line.

Asking for help is not easy for me. But sometimes the person who always gives has to be willing to ask, too.

Good Morning Friends!

We have quite a few cats (and guinea pigs!) up for adoption this week and wanted to make a post dedicated to what we have in the rescue. Pictures will be in the comments! All animals listed are up to date on shots and have been neutered or spayed.

1) Bubbles: Mid to Long Hair calico, female, very sweet and friendly! Young Kitten

2) Max: Short haired tuxedo, male, spunky and full of life, loves cuddles. Young Kitten

3) Cinna: Short haired orange tabby, male, he is extremely loving, (I personally call him needy LOL) Young Kitten

4) Rue: short haired black cat, female, very loving and playful. gives me all the halloween cat vibes. Young Kitten

5) Capser: siamese mix, mid to long hair cat, female, unique markings and does awesome little kitty cookies, Adult Cat (Roughly 2 years old)

6) Butters: siamese mix, mid to long hair cat, male, unique markings, super vocal and loves to be petted, Adult Cat, roughly a year old

7) Jasmine: Siamese lilac point, short haired, female, previous feral that turned so loving, quiet and precious meow, loves to eat and hang with you. Senior Adult Cat

8) Panda: Guinea Pig, Male, black and white, very cute with their typical guinea pigs sounds. comes with his pair, Cornelius

9) Cornelius: Guinea Pig, male, orange, tan, white, very cute with their typical guinea pig sounds, comes with his pair, Panda

10) Olive: Short hair black cat, male, came from a really sad situation where his owner passed away, adult cat (unknown age) comes with his pair, Garden

Have you been looking for a bonded pair to brighten your home? Say less and meet these two sweet bonded friends, Olive and Garden.

These two friends went through the hardest times of their lives together - their owner passed away in their home. Imagine waiting for your person to come give extra cuddles and kisses only to never be able to see them again 🥺 while Olive is taking time to adjust, Garden has realized that love is still out there and has shown me all his purrs and head bonks.

We have some incredible news to share… Anna's Hope Veterinary Clinic has officially agreed to help save Finny! ❤️

Their team is ordering his FIP medication and has generously committed to providing his treatment, follow-up exams, and bloodwork at no cost to our rescue. This is an unbelievable act of kindness, and we cannot thank Heidi Wagner and everyone at Anna’s Hope enough for giving Finny the chance he deserves.

Because of their generosity, we have decided that every donation received for Finny from this point forward will be donated directly to the Anna’s Hope Foundation (a fellow 501(c)(3)) to help them continue saving animals like Finny.

Finny is going to live to see another day because people cared. 💙

Do you remember Finnick O'dair? Well finny NEEDS OUR HELP!

Up until this week, Finny was living his very best foster life. He was happy, playful, full of personality, and getting ready for the next chapter of his life... finding his forever home.

Everything changed during what should have been a routine neuter surgery.

While he was under anesthesia, the veterinarian discovered fluid in his abdomen. They immediately recommended that we have him seen by our veterinarian, so as soon as we picked him up from surgery, we rushed him to The Pet Vet On Patton.

There, they performed comprehensive bloodwork and removed additional fluid from his abdomen for testing. Based on his exam, bloodwork, and findings, everything points to wet FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis).

Just a few years ago, an FIP diagnosis was considered a death sentence. Today, there is hope, but that hope comes at a cost.

Without treatment, Finny's time is heartbreakingly limited. With treatment, he has a real chance to survive and go on to live the life he deserves.

As a small rescue, we simply do not have the funds sitting aside to cover the cost of FIP treatment while continuing to care for all of the other animals who depend on us.

So today, we're asking for help.

We're asking you to look at Finny the way we do...not as "just another cat," but as a life that matters. A goofy, loving little boy who was supposed to be celebrating his neuter and getting ready for adoption, not fighting for his life.

If we can give him a chance, we believe it's worth taking.

If you're able to donate, no matter the amount, you will be giving Finny the opportunity to fight.
