Introducing The Hub at Wood Library, a community health and wellness hub providing essential health services and social supports for adults and teens in the Canandaigua community. Wood Library serves thousands of residents each year, including individuals and families facing housing and food insecurity, physical and mental health challenges, inadequate insurance coverage, and job loss. The goal of The Hub is to improve the physical, mental, and social well-being of vulnerable individuals by reducing barriers to healthcare access, addressing immediate wellness needs, and expanding access to preventive, community-based services. By reducing documented barriers to care—such as transportation, awareness, and accessibility— individuals can connect directly with trusted professionals from existing community agencies and resources in a familiar, accessible setting.
