It is with heavy hearts that the Camden County Lions Club shares the passing of our oldest and one of our most treasured members.

For an extraordinary 75 years, he dedicated himself to Lionism, embodying the true spirit of service, kindness, and generosity. His commitment to helping others and making a difference in his community leaves a legacy that few can match.

He was more than a fellow Lion. He was a remarkable individual, a devoted servant to his community, and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

75 years of service. A lifetime of giving. A legacy that will never be forgotten. 💛🦁

We Serve.

🦁 We may have been a little quiet on Facebook lately, but we certainly haven’t been sitting still!

The Camden County Lions have had a busy summer serving, volunteering and supporting our community.

⛳ Last month, a LOT of work went into our Putt for Purpose event — and we’re grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.

Over the summer, our Lions have also volunteered at the Shootout, spent time helping at Wonderland Camp, and pitched in with other projects and needs throughout our community.

And now we’re getting ready for our fall and winter service projects, including:

🥫 Our annual food drive supporting local food banks
🔔 Salvation Army bell ringing
🇺🇸 Wreaths Across America
👓 And, of course, continuing our Lions service throughout the community.

Maybe you’ve seen the Lions around town and wondered what we actually do.

Maybe you’ve thought about getting involved in the community but weren’t sure where to start.

Or maybe you just want to meet some good people, have some fun and do some good along the way.

Come see what we’re about!

We have a meeting tomorrow night at Pepperoni Bill’s in Camdenton, in the community room at 6:00 pm.

Come a little early, grab some food, and stay for the meeting. There’s no pressure and no obligation — just an opportunity to meet us, learn more about the Camden County Lions Club, and see how you could be part of it. 🦁

We Serve. And there’s always room for another set of hands. 💙

A few more Putt for a Purpose shout-outs! ⛳️💙

A huge THANK YOU to OakStar Bank for sponsoring our tournament AND bringing a team out to play! We loved having you be part of our first Putt for a Purpose.

And congratulations to Morgan, our Adult Hole-in-One winner! 🎉⛳️ A special thank you to Central Bank for sponsoring the Adult Hole-in-One. And Morgan… we hear Lions membership might look pretty good on you. 😉🦁

We truly appreciate everyone who helped make this event a success — our sponsors, everyone who bid on and purchased silent auction items, bought raffle tickets, volunteered, and especially all 154 golfers who braved the heat and came out to play!

Our first Putt for a Purpose was one to remember, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you. 💙💛

What a special night for the Camden County Lions Club! 💙🦁

We were honored to recognize Lion Ken Olive for an incredible 75 years of service as a Lion! Ken served as District Governor in 1960–1961 and, at 99 years old, continues to stay active with our club.

Ken is truly the definition of a Lifetime Member — not simply because of the title, but because he has spent a lifetime living out what it means to be a Lion. Seventy-five years of service is an extraordinary milestone, and we could all learn a thing or two from Lion Ken about dedication, service, and commitment to our communities.

We were also proud to be recognized for our club’s growth. During the Lions year ending June 30, 2026, the Camden County Lions Club grew by 375% — the highest growth in our district!

We are incredibly proud of that growth, but even more proud of what it represents: more hands to serve, more ideas, and more people committed to making a difference in our community.

A very special thank you to District Governor Bruce Berger for joining us and presenting these recognitions. We appreciate you taking the time to celebrate these milestones with our club!

It was a pretty great night to be a Camden County Lion. 🦁💙

We Serve. And we’re growing so we can serve even more.

Our first Putt for a Purpose was hot, busy, a little competitive, and a whole lot of fun!
