What a special night for the Camden County Lions Club! 💙🦁

We were honored to recognize Lion Ken Olive for an incredible 75 years of service as a Lion! Ken served as District Governor in 1960–1961 and, at 99 years old, continues to stay active with our club.

Ken is truly the definition of a Lifetime Member — not simply because of the title, but because he has spent a lifetime living out what it means to be a Lion. Seventy-five years of service is an extraordinary milestone, and we could all learn a thing or two from Lion Ken about dedication, service, and commitment to our communities.

We were also proud to be recognized for our club’s growth. During the Lions year ending June 30, 2026, the Camden County Lions Club grew by 375% — the highest growth in our district!

We are incredibly proud of that growth, but even more proud of what it represents: more hands to serve, more ideas, and more people committed to making a difference in our community.

A very special thank you to District Governor Bruce Berger for joining us and presenting these recognitions. We appreciate you taking the time to celebrate these milestones with our club!

It was a pretty great night to be a Camden County Lion. 🦁💙

Thank you Krantz & Associates REMAX Lake of the Ozarks for being the Youth Hole-in-one sponsor and to Central Bank for sponsoring the adult Hole-in-one! Thank you Andrea Freeland for the donation of the backpack of school supplies!

These two kiddos & their family came to golf, was talked into playing with our fundraiser (easily done since kiddos were free) and walked away with cash & school supplies!

Great way to finish their vacation at Lake of the Ozarks!

Thanks to all who supported us. It was a hot one but such a great one!

🔥⛳ 154 GOLFERS. ONE VERY HOT DAY. AND A WHOLE LOT OF FUN! ⛳🔥

We are absolutely BLOWN AWAY by today!

Despite the heat, 154 golfers hit the course for our first Putt for a Purpose! And quite a few of them had absolutely no idea they were going to be part of a fundraiser when they arrived. 😂 Then they met our registration ladies… who may have been slightly persuasive. 💙🦁

🏆 And we have some bragging rights to hand out!

And the day kept surprising us right to the very end!

🏆 Our Adult Low Score winner was literally our LAST golfer of the day!

⛳ Our Youth Hole-in-One winner ALSO took the Youth Low Score! Now that is a good day on the course!

A HUGE thank you to Oakheart Ink for creating and donating the awesome trophies and medallions for our winners. They were a HIT! 🏆🏅 And, of course, the cash prizes for our Adult and Youth winners weren’t too shabby either. 💵😂

But the biggest win was seeing this community show up.

Our volunteers worked their tails off and endured some serious temperatures. Our sponsors stepped up in a HUGE way. And so many of you played golf, bought raffle tickets, bid on silent auction items, donated and supported our club.

And a very special thank you to Kahlen and the entire crew at Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf Lake of the Ozarks for welcoming us and helping make this crazy idea of ours such a fun and amazing event.

We learned a few things. We laughed a LOT. We probably sweated off a few pounds. 😂

And one thing is already certain…

Putt for a Purpose will be BACK next year! ⛳🦁💙
