The Arabian Sport Horse Alliance is proud to announce the recipients of the Year End Awards for our members’ Arabian-bred sport horses. Eligible Arabian-bred horses include Arabians, Shagya-Arabians, Anglo-Arabians, and part-bred Arabians and Shagyas with at least 25% Arabian or Shagya-Arabian lineage.

For 2023 Awards were earned in 17 discipline divisions (separated by all breed and breed restricted competitions) plus special recognition for horses that competed with a youth rider/handler/driver. Our newest division, Working Equitation, is expanding and attracting new participants. High Score Awards were earned in Dressage from Intro level through Intermediare II plus Freestyles and in Western Dressage from Intro though Level 4 and Freestyles.

The Year End Awards also has an associated lifetime awards program called “Milestone Awards” that recognizes sustained dedication to a specific sport horse performance discipline. In 2023, seven horses earned Milestone Awards in a variety of disciplines. Milestone Awards for horses competing at upper levels of their sport horse discipline are designated as “Elite”.

Congratulations to owner & rider Lorraine Barrows and her Half-Arabian (warmblood) Nodin RBA for earning the Arabian Sport Horse Alliance High Score Award at the Cheyene Dressage Show! Impressive that it was for a 3rd level ride!

Nodin RBA is a 2011 Half-Arabian by the Hanoverian stallion Contucci (1993-2020) and out of the Arabian mare Nova Wind. Notably, Contucci's tail male line traces to the the Arabian stallion Fetysz!
