We began our rescue mission in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina by aiding dogs that were left homeless by the storm. Since then, our outreach has grown to heights we never imagined. Now we are rescuing puppy mill dogs, bai

t dogs used in dog-fighting, and hundreds of dogs from shelters—often moments away from euthanasia. We currently deliver pet food and supplies to more than 48 elderly people living in poverty—and pay for their dogs’ medical bills, too. We have rescued dogs from junkyards and shelters, freed animals chained to trees and living in small cages, and saved abandoned pets living on the streets. Danny & Ron’s Rescue is unlike any other rescue organization. Because testing an abused or neglected dog can only recover and learn to trust again when it is in a loving home, Danny and Ron have turned their own house into the ultimate safe haven. There, they personally care for injured and abused animals until they are ready for adoption. Each dog receives a wellness check from our veterinarian, is then spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, groomed, and loved. But most important, each dog is treated like part of the family, fed organic dog food from its own bowl, and even allowed to sleep in the bed. The opportunity to live with humans and other dogs in a real home environment is the best way to prepare a dog for adoption and a life with a loving family. We are also proud to be one of the only organizations that does not charge a pre-set adoption fee and instead relies on an affordable donation from the adopter.

Hi! I’m Peppa Pug! 🐾💗 I’m a tiny bundle of wrinkles, wiggles, and BIG personality, and I’m ready to find my forever family!

I’m playful, energetic, and absolutely LOVE toys—especially balls and anything squeaky or crinkly! 🎾 I even love playing in the water and splashing around with my toys in a kiddie pool. 💦 I’m food motivated and working hard on my leash manners and puppy-like mouthiness.

I would do best as the only dog in the home or with calm, submissive canine friends. I’m a happy, silly, slightly chaotic pug who will keep you laughing every day! 🥰

My mom, April, came to Danny & Ron’s Rescue from a local shelter and welcomed nine puppies just six days later. Most of my siblings have found homes, but I’m still looking for mine! 🐶

I’m a fun-loving girl who loves playing with toys and wrestling with my siblings. When playtime is over, I’m all about cuddles, belly rubs, and puppy naps! 🥰 If you’re looking for a playful best friend and a lifetime of puppy kisses, I could be your perfect match! ❤️🐾

Forever in our hearts, until we meet again. 🌈🐾

Today is , a gentle reminder of all the beloved dogs who have crossed over. At Danny & Ron’s Rescue, every dog that passes through our doors becomes part of our family, and holding them in our hearts after they’re gone is both the hardest and most sacred part of what we do.

To everyone who has loved and lost a pet: we know how deep that loss feels. But we also know the immense joy, comfort, and unconditional love they brought into our lives while they were here.

Hi, I’m Wedge! ❤️ I came to Danny & Ron’s Rescue from a nearby animal shelter, and I’m hoping my next stop will be my forever home!

I’m a sweet boy who loves people, although I can be a little nervous in new places. I just need a patient family who understands that trust takes time and will let me open up at my own pace. 🥰

I get along well with other dogs, like cats, and do well with children. I walk nicely on a leash and ride well in the car, so I’m ready to tag along on adventures with my new family! 🚗🐾

Hi, I’m Reynard! I’m a happy, playful boy with a big personality, and I’m ready to find my forever family! ❤️ I came to Danny & Ron’s Rescue from a nearby animal shelter and am still very puppyish at heart.

I love toys, especially tug-of-war and keep-away! 🎾 I also walk well on a leash, get along wonderfully with other dogs, and even like cats. I know how to “sit” and am excited to keep learning with my new family.

I can be a little vocal when I want attention, but I’m just an enthusiastic guy who loves being around my people! With some patience and guidance, I’ll keep learning when it’s time to bark and when it’s time to settle. 🥰

❤️ For senior dogs, the little victories mean everything.

At nearly 14 years old, Pucca has spent years as a beloved sanctuary dog at Danny & Ron’s Rescue. As she got older, mobility became more difficult, and even navigating the stairs became a challenge.

Then, with support from Animal Health [tag], the rescue team began seeing a remarkable change. Today, Pucca is back to running up those same stairs, and enjoying every moment alongside the people she calls family. 🥹🐶
