A one-day exhibition curated by scholar-artist and PhD candidate Reyhab Mohmed Patel (Carleton University)exploring Muslim futurism through photography, fashion, and visual storytelling. The program includes a gallery walkthrough, luncheon, and artist talk on the intersections of art, faith, and futurity.

In 2022, we were so surprised to learn that our film centering Muslims was selected by 9 film festivals around the world—TRIBECA being the biggest one. Would’ve told you then that we got lucky. But here we are in 2025—back at it again with Muslimness at the core. Shoutout to .siddy for directing this mind-bending, soul-shaking work.

We are honored to be back at this time as an official selection of the Tribeca Festival 2025 Immersive exhibition: In Search of Us!!

Catch the NYC premiere of our installation at Water Street Projects from June 6 - 29, 1-7pm.

“New Maqam City” invites you to remix, manipulate, and vibe to music known to Muslim communities everywhere. Incorporating everything from Gnawa beats to synthpop, Macrou, and 808 drum patterns, this interactive installation catalyzes a transcendental state inspired by Sufi mysticism and communion through music.

This project was first developed for Colorado Springs - many thanks to FAC staff Michael Christiano, Jonathan Dankenbring, and JD Sell for their unwavering support. Shoutout as always to and in Oakland, CA for helping us make craft sounds way back in the day. And finally thank you to for supporting the entire “ALHAMDU | MUSLIM FUTURISM” exhibition and archive.

Calling all writers! We are partnering with to host a VIRTUAL monthly writing workshop called YALLAH! Muslims Write exclusively for artists who identify as Muslim, led by MIPZ friend and collaborator mhd borhan. The workshop is open to Muslim and Muslim-adjacent writers everywhere!✨

This is just the beginning; we have big plans for the future, including expanding to twice a month gatherings, published authors as guest speakers such as Omar El Akkad (), an online forum for ongoing networking, and a zine with writing from workshop participants. Make sure to sign up ASAP and spread the word so we can make this all happen!
