RC creates safe and inclusive spaces for refugee and local girls in Jordan to thrive by playing sport

Another unforgettable summer football league has come to an end! ⚽

Over the past nine weeks, 8 teams from our sites came together to compete, grow, and celebrate the power of sport and fair play. Congratulations to the Aura and Mafraq Stars Teams for being crowned this year's league champions and to the Flame Team for winning the end of season tournament! 🏆

From the first whistle to the final match, every team showed determination, teamwork, and incredible sportsmanship, making this season one to remember.

A special thank you to the Fifa Foundation for their continued support and for funding this program, creating more opportunities for girls to play, lead, and thrive through sport.

We can't wait to see you all back on the field next year! ⚽

As we say good bye to our interns and wrap up summer programming, we're throwing back to our annual teambuilding day in July, where we played laser tag and other fun activities. It was a great opportunity for coaches, interns, and staff to spend time with each other informally and strengthen the connections within our team.

We're incredibly happy to see our team continue to grow every year. A huge thank you to the interns for all of their work this summer, and to everyone for the energy, dedication, and amazing work you bring to Reclaim Childhood every single day.

Seven weeks down, two more to go - the pitch is on fire! ⚽🔥

Even with the start of the school year fast approaching, summer football leagues are still going strong. Every practice and match is another opportunity for the girls to challenge themselves, improve their football skills, and enjoy playing together as a team.

A big thank you to for making this season extra special by providing every team with their own jerseys to wear proudly on game days.

We're looking forward to making the most of the final week together!

One day late, but still celebrating International Youth Day!

We're highlighting all the young people in our programs, especially the amazing teens, who continue to grow in confidence, support one another, and inspire us with their resilience, leadership, and determination every session. We loved seeing their leadership in action this summer as they volunteered with the younger girls at our camps.

We're proud to be part of their journey and excited to see all they will continue to achieve!

Once part of RC, always part of RC.

Earlier this month, we brought together 48 RC alumni for a day of connection, reflection, and a friendly basketball tournament. It was a great opportunity to reconnect, spend time together, and of course, play!

During the gathering, we introduced our new RC Alumni Community, a space where our alumni can continue to stay connected, strengthen their relationships, and access new opportunities for learning, leadership, and personal growth as they move into the next stage of their journeys.

We're so excited to see this community grow - stay tuned for more!

Our final outreach camp of the summer brought us to Madaba! ☀️

70 girls joined us over four days to explore football, frisbee, and a variety of small games. Throughout the camp, the girls took part in exciting activities, built their confidence, tried new games, and experienced the joy of sport together.

As we wrap up another incredible outreach camp season, we're especially excited that Madaba won't just be our final stop this summer—it will soon become RC's fifth hub site!

We can't wait to be back, meet even more girls, and continue creating safe and inclusive spaces where they can thrive through sport.⚽

That's a wrap on Summer Camps 2026! ☀️

For the past five weeks, girls across our hub sites in Amman, Zarqa, and Mafraq came together to stay active, make new friends, and enjoy a summer full of sport and play. From football and frisbee to small games and team challenges, every session was filled with energy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

This summer was made even more special as the girls enjoyed wearing their new RC T-shirts from Sam Pegram Humanitarian Foundation , adding even more team spirit to every session.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this summer such a success. We can't wait to welcome the girls back for the fall football season - see you on the field soon!⚽

Happy International Friendship Day!

Sport is one of the many ways friendships can grow, as every session gives the girls the opportunity to build relationships. We’re so happy to see the friendships and connections the girls have built through Reclaim Childhood, and how they continue to support and encourage one another.

Our Qudrati Program is back for the summer! ✨

This summer marks the final phase of our 2025–2026 Qudrati cohort, where our girls are bringing everything they've learned throughout the year into action. Focusing on community service project and knowledge transfer, they're taking the lead in creating meaningful change within their own communities.

We're now in week two, and the journey is already well underway. During the first session, the girls explored social entrepreneurship, learning why community initiatives matter, the impact they can have, and the important role young people play in driving positive change.

In the second session, they began turning ideas into action—identifying needs within their communities, brainstorming solutions, and designing projects that they'll bring to life over the coming weeks.

With field visits, project implementation, and graduation still ahead, this summer is full of exciting milestones. We can't wait to share the girls' projects and celebrate everything they'll accomplish. Stay tuned!
