RC creates safe and inclusive spaces for refugee and local girls in Jordan to thrive by playing sport

Making memories beyond the field!

Over the past month, our younger and older girls from across our hub sites enjoyed a series of trips filled with fun, laughter, and new experiences.

Our older girls spent a day at Al Ma'wa for Nature and Wildlife, where they had the chance to see the rescued wild animals up close, explore the sanctuary, and enjoy a day surrounded by nature. Meanwhile, our younger girls visited Haya Cultural Center, where they played, explored, and experienced an educational 3D space film at the Planetarium.

These outings are a well-deserved chance for the girls to recharge, connect, and enjoy time together before the summer season begins. ✨

Celebrating the people who make it all possible.

As we mark Global Parents Day, we're looking back at the special Mother's Day we organized for the incredible mothers of our girls across our hub sites. It was a chance for moms to step onto the field, play, connect, and enjoy the same sense of fun and community that their daughters experience throughout the season.

Their encouragement, trust, and support play a huge role in every girl's journey, both on and off the field.

Thank you to all the parents who continue to champion their daughters every step of the way. ✨

Getting into the World Cup spirit to celebrate World Football Giving Day!⚽

As we count down the days until Jordan's first-ever World Cup match, we brought the tournament excitement to the community in Amman this past weekend. Girls from RC’s two Amman sites and the Madaba pilot came together with teams from PACES, Collateral Repair Project - Building a Resilient Community, Squash Dreamers, and Operation Mercy Jordan for a friendly tournament full of energy and fun. From one match to the next, girls had the chance to play, challenge themselves, and meet new people through the spirit of football.

Thank you to all the organizations who joined us for this special day, including all of the teams and volunteer physiotherapy graduate students from Jordan University. A special thank you to the FIFA Foundation for their support of the event.

That’s a wrap on our frisbee season. 💜🥏

Over the past 6 weeks, girls across our 4 hub sites and the pilot in Madaba came together to learn, play, and grow through frisbee. From building confidence on the field to trying something new and creating fun memories together, it’s been a season full of energy and excitement.

Now, it’s time for a break as girls get ready for Eid, exams, and the end of the school year, but we’re already excited for summer! ☀️

Wrapping up another season of Qudrati teen leadership 💜

Over the past weeks, girls explored leadership, self-awareness, critical thinking, and the role they can play in creating positive change in their communities. Through interactive activities and discussions, they reflected on their goals, challenged limiting beliefs, and discovered new ways to lead and express themselves.

We’ll be back in the summer for the final season with this cohort, and we’re excited for what’s ahead ✨

A space to play and express 🎨💜

Last month, we introduced a new wellbeing activity at practice to support girls during the ongoing conflict in the region. Girls expressed their thoughts and emotions through drawing and art, giving them the opportunity to reflect, express themselves, and draw what makes them feel safe and happy.

5 weeks in, and Madaba is full of energy ⚽💜

Our pilot season is off to a strong start and girls are engaging in football, stepping into frisbee, and building new skills with every session.
