Amicus Brief Support - I’m reaching out with a specific, time-sensitive ask.

As you know, Harvard has filed a lawsuit challenging the federal government’s attacks and denial of due process. Along with other alumni, I am signing an amicus brief in support of higher education and the independence of academic institutions.

I hope you will seriously consider adding your name by our deadline of June 7, 2025 at 12pm ET.

We aim to amass 10,000 alumni to demonstrate the breadth of support for Harvard and the values it represents, including standing up for the principles that underpin American leadership in higher education. You can read and sign the brief here: bit.ly/HarvardAmicusBrief

Many of us are watching with concern what has been happening to Harvard in recent months. The university is facing billions in threatened funding cuts, the cessation of life-saving research, the dismantling of valued labs and scientific teams, threats to its ability to enroll international students, and a barrage of intrusive investigations.

This frontal assault on the university is alarming. The administration’s approach undermines academic freedom, freedom of expression, and the independence of private institutions. There were lawful means to address civil rights concerns or taxpayer oversight—but the tactics now underway go far beyond that, and deny universities due process. We are assembling a diverse group of alumni from every background and corner of the country to stand up for Harvard.

If you’re willing, please take a moment to read the brief and consider adding your name.
