⚡️Virtual Fund-a-thon 101 + Fundraising Training on April 16th at 7pm ⚡

Join us for a virtual fund-a-thon + peer-to-peer fundraising training! Whether you want a fund-a-thon refresher, tips on fundraising, or just want to meet and greet with EMA staff and fellow volunteer fundraisers, this is the place to be. New volunteers and fund-a-thon pros welcome, we’d love to see you there!

We’ll talk:

📝Fund-a-thon 101: what does fund-a-thon do for abortion access in Eastern MA and why do we do it? how do I set up my fundraising page?
📢Tips from fellow fundraisers: What have you tried that has really worked? Hear from your peers and share your tips with our team of volunteers!
💜Fundraising questions and *fears*: where do I start? should I send a follow-up to my friends? should I even fundraise when the world is falling apart?

Submit any questions you have ahead of time in the registration form so we can work through them together.

Thanks to our crew of former and current EMA Fund Board members, when you donate to EMA’s Fund-a-thon this week from Monday March 30th-Sunday April 5th, your donations will get DOUBLED up to $3,000! Double your impact and help us close the gap this week!

$10 donation → $20 to help cover the cost of a meal for someone while they get the care they need
$25 donation → $50 to pay for someone’s ride share to the clinic
$150 donation → $300 to cover the cost of a flight for someone traveling from out-of-state for abortion care
$350 donation → $700 to cover our average pledge to callers in 2025

The Eastern Massachusetts Abortion (EMA) Fund is seeking new board members to support our work to advance abortion access and reproductive justice! Our board provides strategic governance, visioning, and organizational and financial support to our staff.

While we are looking for new board members with all types of experience, we are especially excited to see applications from individuals who have experience in human relations, legal and nonprofit law, financial management, fundraising, and experience with non-hierarchical organizational structures and staff self-governance.

And if you have social justice experience outside of the reproductive justice space or outside of formal work experience, but are drawn to this work - we’re excited to meet you!

when you give to your local abortion fund, you’re supporting the whole wrap-around system of care that helps people get their abortions: paying for rides to the clinic, access to abortion doulas, meals, stipends for childcare, booking long-distance travel, coordination with local clinics and providers, making direct pledges to fund people’s abortions, and sustaining the organization that makes this work possible.

you’re likely seeing lots of groups, projects, and organizations you care about asking for donations this Giving Tuesday and we hope you’ll support them as you can. for EMA, end-of-year donations are SO important to keep our hotline open, operating, and funding. we hope you’ll give what you can and get what you need!

Our fund is taking a pause starting July 4 to make time for our staff to rest. We will reopen on Monday, July 14. During that time, we will not make new pledges or monitor the hotline, emails, or Signal for communications.
