The Camas Lions Club & Foundation is now meeting at Natalia's Cafe, downtown Camas at 437 4th Ave. Meeting times are the first and third Thursdays of each month. Social at 6:00 with the meeting starting at 6:30

e meetings we often have a speaker and we discuss past and future club activities. Our local Lions Club is involved in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world's blind. Lions around the world are dedicating themselves to eradicating preventable blindness and sponsoring drug awareness and education programs for our youth. In our local community we are involved in providing scholarships to Camas graduates, helping with eye glasses, hearing aides and collecting food every year for the local food banks. Come, be a part of what is the world's largest service organization, as well as an integral part of the community. "We Serve".

Dolly Parton was recognized as an honorary member and a Melvin Jones Fellow of the Sevier County Lions Club.
The Sevier County Lions Club acknowledged her as a Melvin Jones Fellow, which is one of the highest forms of recognition by Lions Clubs International Foundation, honoring humanitarian service and commitment to the community.

🐝🌼 Learning, Pollinating & Shopping at the Camas Farmers Market! 🍓🥕🍎

The Camas Lions Club had a wonderful time volunteering at the Kids Connection booth at the Camas Farmer's Market!

Kids learned how bees travel from flower to flower, carrying pollen that helps plants produce many of the fruits and vegetables we eat every day. Then they got to become pollinators themselves! 🐝 They helped our bees collect “pollen” from one flower and carry it to another.

And the best part? After completing the pollination activity, each child received a Kids Connection token they could spend on fresh produce from vendors at the Farmers Market! 🍅🥒🫐

What a great way to connect the dots: 🐝 Pollinators → 🌼 Flowers → 🍓 Food → 🧑‍🌾 Local Farmers!

We loved helping kids see firsthand why protecting pollinators matters—and giving them the opportunity to pick out some fresh produce of their own.

This morning, the Camas Lions Club and Orchards Kiwanis Club teamed up to create something extra special: Heavy Helpers! 🧸❤️

These stuffed animals are transformed into weighted comfort buddies, similar to a weighted blanket, to give kids a little extra support and comfort when they need it most.

We’ll be doing this again, so we’re always on the lookout for BIG stuffed animals! The bigger, the better—they’re perfect to make these Heavy Helpers so special. 🪨🧸

Thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible! We can’t wait to create more Heavy Helpers for kids in our community. 💙
