Generation1st

Generation1st We serve First Generation students. People who are the first in their family to attend college in US.

We support first-generation college students - students whose parents have not earned a four-year baccalaureate degree or students who are new to the United States. Our vision is for these individuals to cultivate the right mind set and build life-long skills that will not only help them gain admission to and finish college but also extend well beyond graduation as they continue to grow and contri

bute meaningfully to their communities. Our mission is to help first-generation college students identify, understand and build upon their own unique strengths to achieve their full potential, even if it’s beyond what they thought was possible for themselves. We accomplish this by providing scholarships, training, mentorship, and access to development opportunities that help them learn, grow, and achieve.

Today, on International Women's Day, Generation 1st honors women who have led in various industries and have championed first-generation college graduates.

From television, government, and technology, to healthcare. We look at powerful quotes from these women that inspire individuals to break through the glass ceiling, abolish stereotypes, create balance and navigate through challenges while leading in male-dominated industries.

We celebrate every woman across the globe in this special commemoration.
