During Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th -October 15th), we honor the diverse nations and cultures that enrich our United States. The unique contributions of Hispanic communities help shape our shared national identity and enrich our traditions, including holidays and culinary practices that are cherished across households.
This year, in our commitment to safeguarding the safety and well-being of our communities, we have decided to postpone this year’s celebrations. We remain committed to fostering unity and to promoting events that bring communities together rather than divide them.

Durante el Mes de la Herencia Hispana (del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre), honramos a las diversas naciones y culturas que enriquecen a nuestros Estados Unidos. Las contribuciones únicas de las comunidades hispanas ayudan a dar forma a nuestra identidad nacional compartida y enriquecen nuestras tradiciones, incluidas las fiestas y las prácticas culinarias que se aprecian en todos los hogares.

Black History Month is a time to celebrate and honor the rich contributions, achievements, and experiences of Black individuals throughout history, including the vibrant cultures and histories of Afro-Latinos. Observed annually in February, this month serves as a powerful reminder of the struggles and triumphs of the Black community, highlighting the pivotal role they have played in shaping our society. It is an opportunity to reflect on the ongoing journey toward equality and justice, to recognize the diverse cultural heritage that enriches our lives, and to promote awareness and understanding of the challenges faced by both Black and Afro-Latino individuals. As we commemorate Black History Month, let us engage in meaningful conversations, educate ourselves about the past, and commit to fostering a more inclusive future for all.

El Mes de la Historia Afroamericana es un momento para celebrar y honrar las ricas contribuciones, logros y experiencias de las personas negras a lo largo de la historia, incluidas las vibrantes culturas e historias de los afrolatinos. Este mes, que se celebra anualmente en febrero, sirve como un poderoso recordatorio de las luchas y los triunfos de la comunidad negra, destacando el papel fundamental que han desempeñado en la configuración de nuestra sociedad. We wish to sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support we have received from the community for our organization. Although we had aspirations to host several additional events in 2024, unforeseen circumstances have hindered these plans. However, we want to assure you that this is not the conclusion; we are genuinely excited about the opportunities that the year 2025 holds. We look forward to collaborating with all of you to create events that promote unity within our community of Gordon County and the City of Calhoun. Additionally, we would like to acknowledge the small businesses and organizations that generously supported our recent event. Thank you once again for your continued support.

Deseamos expresar sinceramente nuestro más sentido agradecimiento por el apoyo inquebrantable que hemos recibido de la comunidad para nuestra organización. Aunque teníamos aspiraciones de albergar varios eventos adicionales en 2024, circunstancias imprevistas han obstaculizado estos planes. We appreciate everyone who has supported us and supported our decision to move the event to October 6, 2024.
With that being said, We have another danza that will be joining us as well and celebrating this event with us. They are Danza Tolteca Fresnillo Zacatecas, also sharing their traditional history with us.

Agradecemos a todos los que nos han apoyado y apoyado nuestra decisión de trasladar el evento al 6 de octubre de 2024.

Our next group we have that will start at 5pm to end, will be Alta Empresa!! These young men are rising stars and we're so excited for them to end the night of our second annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration.
