Joy is abundant.

To gaze upon and long for the way of the world hollows the soul - it is like drinking seawater in times of thirst.

To gaze upon and long for Christ is how the soul is deepened and simultaneously filled - it is drinking from the clear still waters that quenches soul thirst.

Seawater enchants with its beauty and when a man drinks it the waves and storm of the sea come within him.

The still waters the Good Shepherd leads beside appear lifeless, but if received cause rivers of living water to flow eternally from within.

The way of Jesus is the way of the cross - embracing death and finding life. The way of the world is a life on the run from what cannot be outrun.
