Gypsy, a 3-year-old Treeing Walker is looking for a new home due to circumstances beyond her control. She interacts well with older children, specifically teenagers, and adults. However, she has displayed dominance towards younger children. Despite this, Gypsy is extremely affectionate and enjoys spending time curled up on the couch. Although she has received some leash training, she would love to have someone work with her further. She is crate-trained but experiences anxiety when confined, likely due to previous mistreatment in a crate that was too small. Gypsy has coexisted with other dogs but per hound nature, sees cats as something fun to chase. Gypsy deserves a loving, permanent home that will give her the time and training she deserves!
*The owner has commented below. Please note that they are secondary owners as Gyspy showed up to them as a stray and upon finding original owners, it was necessary that she gets a better life.*

UPDATE: 2026 is looking very happy for Remi! We are happy to announce she found a home with the perfect family 💓

This is Remi. Originally from Texas, she was adopted by the best family in Iowa City. Her family had a 7, 5, and 2.5 year old that she was incredible with and the adoration was mutual. Their house was in a suburb with many other kids, all whom she also did great with. Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of their control, she had to be surrendered so now she is in a foster home.

"Remi is an amazing dog. We have 2 large dogs that she fits right in with. When we took her in we were hopefully for reunification, but it's not an option. I have a two year old niece that she is the most gentle, patient, loving dog to. We have not noticed any sign of human aggression. The only thing we have noticed is some slight resource guarding at feeding time which we have been working to correct.
She would be the perfect addition to any home.
Unfortunately, we're not her forever home but we know it's out there for her.
Remi is up to date on all her shots, crate trained, house broken, listens well, and loves to be loved.
We welcome meet and greets to make sure she's the right fit. We are asking a small rehoming fee, only to make sure she's going to a good home."

Tango is another little guy that has been with us most of the summer. He came in with his mama and siblings at 2 weeks old. 🐈 Now at 13 weeks, he really needs a family and home to call his own. Tango is a lover who gets along with all cats and dogs. He is a curious kitten that loves to explore and play. He would definitely love some kids or other pets to play with! 🥰
