What an amazing night at National Night Out!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Burleson County Sheriff's Posse. Events like this remind us what our organization is all about, bringing our community together, supporting one another, and making lasting memories.

We lost count, but we're pretty sure our President, Travis Patch, made well over 100 trips into the dunk tank! The laughter, smiles, and friendly competition made it a night to remember.

Whether you stopped by to visit, took your shot at dunking Travis, or simply came out to enjoy the evening, thank you. Your support means the world to us and helps us continue serving Burleson County.

As of 09FEB2026 at 12:00pm Burleson County has been placed under a burn ban order. At this time all outdoor burning is prohibited until further notice. This includes, but is not limited to trash, brush, campfires, and other outdoor fires. Please do your part in keeping our county safe during these excessively dry conditions.

Proudly introducing our Auditor!

Jessica Colley Muzny is the Court Clerk for Justice of the Peace Precinct 1, a Burleson County native, and a firefighter with the Deanville Volunteer Fire Department. She's a devoted mother of two—a daughter and a son—and is married to Constable Jason Muzny. Deeply committed to serving her community, Jessica enjoys traveling with her family, spending time with friends, shopping, and antiquing. She's especially excited to help bring the Sheriff Posse Rodeo to Burleson County and celebrate the traditions that make the community strong.

Next on our introduction is our Vice President, and a familiar face you may have seen around the county, Katie Breaux.

Katie has been in Law Enforcement since 2016, starting out as a dispatcher then working her way to the Police Academy in 2020. Katie has been with the Burleson County Sheriff Office since 2021 as a Patrol Deputy and currently serves as one of the Field Training Officers.

She has been around horses since high school, and has been in Burleson County the majority of her life. She’s been in FFA as part of the horse judging team and now actively working on competing in ranch sorting and ranch performance classes.

While not having kids herself, you’ll never see her back down from wanting the best for our kids in this county, and striving to bring more to Burleson County and to the Sheriffs Office.

We’re proud to introduce Travis Patch, President of the Burleson County Sheriff’s Posse.

Travis is a retired Army soldier who has lived the rodeo and agriculture lifestyle his entire life. He owns and operates his own land clearing, dirt work, and fencing business, and when he’s not working, you’ll likely find him at the Burleson County Saddle Club Arena in Caldwell, where he helps manage the day-to-day operations and keeps the place running strong.

Travis and his wife have been married for many years and are raising five kids and two grandkids to love horses, cattle, hard work, and the values that come with agriculture and rodeo. That passion is exactly what drives his vision for the Sheriff’s Posse. Under his leadership, the focus is on bringing agriculture and rodeo back to Burleson County, supporting local youth through scholarships, and making sure the way of rodeo stays alive for the next generation.

We’re honored to have Travis leading the way and look forward to the positive impact this group will make in our community.
