Today my heart was filled joy & sorrow.

Clayton always looked forward to attending Camp Discovery and reconnecting with friends. He attended as both camper and counselor in training (CIT). Clay wanted to help the kids with their struggles of navigating life a a T1D.

After his death, staff decided to start giving an award each year to someone who has embraced all of what he stood for.

This year Seth (CIT) & Harley were the recipients of the Clayton Patterson Award. These two amazing young men both knew Clayton personally.

I cannot express the overwhelming joy it give me that Valerie & I could be there to show our support.

Thank you all for helping to keep Claytons legacy of Patches alive and allowing him to continue helping others.

We want to give a big shoutout and thank everyone at the Victims Impact Panel of Oklahoma, Inc. & Harrah High School for inviting us to be part of your pre-pram distracted and impaired driving talk.

Impaired / distracted driving does not only happen in Kansas. We are thankful to have partnerships in Oklahoma to help educate and warn of the effects of impaired driving.

As some of you may know, Clay Patterson sister Valerie and new brother in law Geoffrey were were married a few weeks ago. Valerie had many emotional struggles leading up to the day. One of those being Clayton would be be there. CLAYTON was the first to know they were engaged. Clayton was going to be the flower dude. Plans had to change after his death but he was still there with her for her special day. Valerie's niece pulled Clayton's had down the isal. A sign made from a note Clayton's handwriting hug on the back.

Clayton was there with Valerie watching here from above. Our friends and amazing photographers Chelsea Joanne Nickell and Syndi superseded us by make it possible to bring Clayton to life. 🥰

The selfish decision for a man to drive drunk and take Clayton away from us change our lives forever.
Please never drink and drive.
