Blue Devil Boosters Launch “The Blue Devil Futures Fund” and $10,000 seed donation to Support Next Generation.

Fund will kick off major fundraising effort to enhance facilities and support students into the future.

Calais, Maine — The Blue Devil Boosters are proud to announce the launch of the Blue Devil Futures Fund, a new initiative dedicated to supporting the future of clubs, groups, and athletic teams at Calais Middle High School. This fund marks the official beginning of a community-wide fundraising effort aimed at improving key student spaces and ensuring long-term sustainability for generations to come with an initial seed donation of $10,000.

The Blue Devil Futures Fund will directly support much-needed upgrades to core student facilities, including the performing arts space, gymnasium, cafeteria, weight and locker rooms, etc. These improvements are designed to better serve the evolving needs of students while strengthening opportunities for engagement, performance, and competition.

The Calais Middle High School building itself stands as a testament to the power of community-driven efforts - a process that spanned nearly a decade. However, with portions of the school’s infrastructure still dating back to its original development, significant updates are now essential to meet modern standards and support the next 50 years of use.

“The Blue Devil Futures Fund is about investing in our students—both now and in the future,” said Julie Redding, secretary. “Our facilities play a critical role in student success, and this effort ensures that our programs can continue to grow, thrive, and serve as a source of pride for the entire community.”

Through this initiative, the Blue Devil Boosters aim to bring together alumni, families, local businesses, and community members to collectively support the continued evolution of Calais Middle High School. Fundraising efforts and partnership opportunities will be announced in the coming months.

Did you know that since our re-organization in fall of 2025, the Boosters has organized a meal for every academic and sporting recognition banquet? Making this a free meal families don't need to prepare or cook is our small way of thanking them for all they do throughout the season and school year.

The boosters are grateful for every sponsorship that contributes to our mission of supporting our student teams, clubs and groups.
