One of the most exciting parts of our upcoming Pathways to Connection Retreat is seeing so many incredible organizations, businesses, and community partners come together to share resources, services, and opportunities with the families we serve.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be highlighting these Community Resource Partners who will be joining us on August 22nd. From therapy providers and advocacy organizations to recreation programs, support services, and local businesses, these partners are helping create a day filled with connection, encouragement, and hope.

A heartfelt thank you to every organization that has committed to being part of this event. Your willingness to show up, share your expertise, and connect with families makes a lasting impact.

If you're a parent, caregiver, educator, self-advocate, or community member, we invite you to join us! Whether you're looking for services, answers, new opportunities, or simply a reminder that you're not alone on this journey, Pathways to Connection was created for you.

Because sometimes the right connection can change everything.

🎨Our first Masterpiece Makers is next Thursday evening at Pathways—where coloring outside the lines is encouraged!

At Pathways Family Resource Center, we believe creativity should have no limits. Masterpiece Makers is a new adaptive art class where artists of ALL abilities are invited to explore and create!

As always, our programming is designed with individuals with disabilities in mind but are open to everyone, so we hope you'll come create with us! Our first piece of artwork is going to be bubble gum machines!

Whether artists use their fingers or creative tools, every participant will have the freedom to create in a way that feels comfortable, fun, and uniquely their own.

Throughout the year they’ll build a collection of artwork that will be proudly displayed during our Masterpiece Makers Artist Showcase & Celebration Night at the center.

We are excited to welcome Kelly Wells to the Pathways to Connection Caregiver Retreat!

Kelly has graciously agreed to provide live music during registration and our resource partner visits, helping us create a warm and welcoming atmosphere as attendees arrive, connect, and explore the many resources available throughout the day.

As an incredibly talented singer and musician, Kelly has a gift for bringing people together through music, and we are so grateful he is sharing his talents with our caregiver and professional community.

If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet, we encourage you to reserve your spot today. The retreat will feature live music, resources, lunch, and two inspiring keynote presentations, including New York Times bestselling author Kate Swenson of Finding Cooper’s Voice.

This is shaping up to be a meaningful day of connection, encouragement, and support, and we would love for you to join us.

A reminder to join us THIS Saturday for our
Planting with Purpose: A Family Garden Experience.

As always, our programs are designed for individuals with disabilities in mind, but are open to all for an inclusive experience for everyone!

Join us at Pathways for Inclusion Family Resource Center on June 20th from 4:30–5:30 PM for a hands-on family activity designed to celebrate creativity, growth, and connection!

Families will choose from a variety of colorful flowers and personalize their own planter by painting and decorating a flower pot together. Once the masterpiece is complete, children—alongside their parents or caregivers—will plant their flower to take home and continue caring for it as it grows.

This engaging, sensory-friendly experience encourages creativity, fine motor development, and meaningful family bonding, while also giving each child a living reminder of growth and nurturing they can watch bloom over time.

RSVP to join us, we can't wait to see you!

Some rides are about the road…
This one is about love, legacy, and a little girl who changed everything.

On Saturday, August 29, we will gather for Monroe’s Memorial Poker Run—a day dedicated to honoring Monroe’s life, her laughter, and the light she carried so boldly in her eight years here with us.

Monroe loved riding with her pap. The wind, the freedom, the joy of it all. This ride is our way of carrying that love forward—mile by mile, heart by heart—while turning grief into something that gives back.

And we want you with us.

Whether you ride, come for the food, the raffles, or the music—you are part of this story.

💜 Not a rider? You are still so welcome.

Join us for:
🍗 A delicious chicken dinner ($10)
🎟️ Incredible raffle baskets and prizes
🎶 Live music all day:

Jax & Lynden
The Matt VanFossen Band

Bring your family. Bring your friends. Come sit, eat, listen, and be part of something meaningful.

🏍️ Event Details

Date: Saturday, August 29
Registration: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Kickstands Up: 11:00 AM
Start/End Location: Brightside Tavern

Tickets:

Rider (includes chicken dinner): $25
Passenger (includes chicken dinner): $15
Public chicken dinners: $10

Pre-registration is encouraged, and day-of registration will also be available.

🤝 We still need YOU to help make this possible:

We are actively seeking:

💜 Sponsors (Monroe’s Memorial Mile, Breakfast Sponsor, Snack Stops, Biker Swag Sponsor)
🎁 Raffle basket donations

Every sponsorship and every basket helps us turn this day into something truly unforgettable—and directly supports families through Pathways for Inclusion and the Monroe’s Mission Scholarship Fund.

This is more than a poker run.
It’s remembrance.
It’s community.
It’s purpose on two wheels.

Every mile ridden and every ticket purchased helps carry Monroe’s light forward—so it can keep shining where it’s needed most.

We hope you’ll ride with us. 💜
