Our mission is to create opportunities for unhoused individuals by teaching them the skills of carpentry, responsibility, and personal acumen. Volunteer mentors work alongside our paid unhoused team members to craft beautifully designed, high-quality wooden garden trellises, sold at local farmers' markets, festivals, and online. In addition to earning an hourly wage, our workers also share in the

profits from each sale, fostering both financial stability and a sense of ownership. Our products are handcrafted from freshly cut hemlock, sustainably sourced from a local mill in Tustin, Michigan.

This clematis loves it's new home in the garden at First Presbyterian Church of Cadillac. The trellis provides the proper support and climbing space necessary for this beauty to flourish for many years to come.

Trellis Works is a new ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Cadillac located in Cadillac, Michigan. Our mission is to create opportunities for unhoused individuals by teaching them the skills of carpentry, responsibility, and personal acumen.

Today marked an exciting milestone—our very first build day! Our team worked hard learning how to assemble the trellises, and they did a beautiful job. We're already looking forward to our next build day next Saturday, and even more so to our very first sale!
