Wexford County Council On Aging The WCCOA works to enhance the wellness and empowers our seniors to be a vital part of the community. The agency is governed by a 15 member Board.

Wexford County Council on Aging (COA) is a local nonprofit 501©3 agency, serving seniors age 60 and older and disabled adults throughout Wexford County, Michigan. Many of our services are subsidized (cost share) through the Wexford County Senior Millage to help lower the actual cost of our homemaking, personal care, in-home respite, DayBreak Adult Day Services and snow removal (pre-paid vouchers f

or snow removal) for those that are 60 years old and older. Other sources of funding come from Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan, Northern Health Care Management, United Way of Wexford County, Office of Services to the Aging (OSA), Department of Human Services, donations and private contributions. "Our mission is to collaboratively provide, manage, and source an integrated system of health and human services for Wexford County seniors and disabled adults with chronic illness or disability."

We are beyond excited and so very thankful!

Because of the amazing support from the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Michigan and the Bureau of Aging, Community Living and Supports at the State of Michigan, Daybreak has some wonderful new upgrades!

These improvements will make a big difference in our daily operations and help ensure our clients stay safe, comfortable, and happy.

We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and proud to work together to support our community! 💙

We’re so happy to finally get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather together on the porch after a long Northern Michigan winter.

In observance of Memorial Day, we will be closed this Monday, May 25th. This is a day set aside to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives while serving our country.
We take this time to pause, reflect, and thank those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you when we reopen.

👉 See comments for local Memorial Day events happening in Wexford County honoring our veterans and fallen heroes. Drop any others in the comments if you know of more!
