✨ End of Year Reflection — Elves for Elders ✨

As this year comes to a close, I just want to take a moment to say thank you — truly, from the bottom of my heart.

This season, Elves for Elders was able to serve five nursing homes, a home care program, and the Searcy Community Center, all across Arkansas. Because of your generosity, we were able to collect around 700 gifts for elders and individuals who might have otherwise gone without. Some gifts came from right here in our community, and others came from kind-hearted people across the country.

This year also brought something especially meaningful. Through a side project called Elves Beyond Elders: New Beginnings, we partnered with a Christian-based rehab in Bald K**b to support men and women working hard toward a fresh start. Being able to show up for them — even in a small way — was incredibly humbling.

When I started Elves for Elders, my goal was simple: to care for people who are often overlooked. This season reminded me that those people aren’t only our seniors, but also individuals rebuilding their lives and taking brave steps forward.

I’ll be sharing a few photos from this season, including a card that came with one of the gifts from out of state — a reminder of just how far kindness can travel.

As we look ahead, I’d love your thoughts. Would you be interested in seeing this program continue to grow — possibly supporting both elders and individuals in recovery through a separate sign-up or option? Your feedback truly matters as we plan for the future.

🚨 Last weekend alert! 🚨
This is the final weekend to pick up an Elves for Elders tag and drop off gifts before Christmas.

If you’ve been meaning to grab a tag, this is your sign. And if you already have one, thank you so much — gift drop-offs are happening now so we can get everything to our elders on time. 💛

Even one small gift makes a big difference, and it’s not too late to help.

A huge thank-you to Palco Choice and Christina Godfrey for sponsoring 160 gift bags for our elders this year. Your support means so much to our program and to the seniors who will receive these gifts. ❤️

We spent all day yesterday getting everything ready to be dropped off, and even picked up a full car load of presents.

And my favorite moment of the day? Snapping a picture of a sweet mom and her baby at Walmart after they finished shopping for an elder. Moments like that remind us why we do this. 🎁✨

You can find tags at our Walmart locations and other participating spots around town — and every single one represents someone who may not otherwise receive a Christmas gift this year.

We’ve had so many amazing people adopting elders this year, and I’m incredibly grateful. 💛
But I also know not everyone can take on a full tag — and that’s completely okay!

If you still want to help in a smaller way, we now have an Amazon Wishlist filled with items that work for any elder: blankets, socks, puzzle books, lotions, treats, and more. You can purchase one single item, or however many you feel comfortable with. Every little bit makes a huge difference.

We’ve also added a gift card fund on the wishlist. If you’re not sure what to buy, a gift card helps us fill in any last-minute needs and make sure every elder receives the things they asked for.

🎄✨ Elves for Elders Update! ✨🎄

I’m so excited to share that we officially have three Walmart locations set up with Giving Trees!

🌟 Cabot Neighborhood Market

Each tree has 30+ Elder tags from local assisted livings, nursing homes, and community centers — all waiting for someone to brighten their Christmas. 💚

I’m hoping to get even more locations set up tonight and tomorrow after work, but for now, these three trees are ready to go! I’ll keep posting updates as more trees go live.
