Last night, the Cabot community came together in an incredible way for the very first “Summer Starts Here” program. And what a success it was!

Sponsored by our Cabot Police Foundation and thanks to an amazing partnership between the City of Cabot, the Cabot Police Department, the Cabot Fire Department, Game Time at the Grounds, and so many local businesses and individual donors, we were able to serve nearly 150 students right here in the Cabot School District area.

This invitation-only outreach event was designed to help bridge the gap for local students as they begin summer break by providing essential summer supplies and support to families who need it most. School counselors helped identify students and families who could benefit from this program, ensuring resources reached those with the greatest need.

More than anything, last night was about community. It was about neighbors helping neighbors, public servants giving back, and making sure our kids start the summer feeling supported, encouraged, and cared for.

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, partnered, and worked behind the scenes to make this event possible. Thank you to the First Lady of Cabot, Mrs. Amanda Kincade for the vision and heart for this event! The smiles on the faces of these kids reminded us all why programs like this matter so much.

Cabot truly is a special place. ❤️

So proud of our officers, our firefighters, and our mayor!

Today, the Cabot Police Department Foundation was honored to host a retiree luncheon during Police Week.

It was a special time to welcome back some of the men and women who helped build the foundation of the Cabot Police Department we know today. We are grateful for their years of service, sacrifice, leadership, and commitment to our community.

Once part of the CPD family, always part of the CPD family.

Thank you to our retirees for the legacy you continue to leave behind.

Congratulations to our 2026 Cabot Police Department Foundation Scholarship recipients: Lauren Reilly, Kaitlyn Carmical, and Cooper Powell!

Each recipient was awarded a $1,000 scholarship to help support the next chapter of their education. We are proud of these outstanding students and the character, service, leadership, and commitment they have already shown in our community.

We also want to sincerely thank everyone who donated and helped make these scholarships possible. Your support allows the Foundation to invest in the future of Cabot’s students in a meaningful way.

A special thank you to Detective Christian Weir’s family for allowing us to honor Christian’s memory through this scholarship. His legacy of service, courage, kindness, and dedication continues to make a difference.

Congratulations again to Lauren, Kaitlyn, and Cooper!

Congrats Sarge!

National Police Week begins today. The Cabot Police Department Foundation would like to recognize and support the incredible men and women who serve our community every day.

Behind every officer is a family that serves alongside them. Spouses, children, parents, and loved ones who sacrifice time together, endure stress and uncertainty, and stand behind these public servants through every call, holiday, and late-night shift.

Throughout Police Week, the Foundation is honored to host meals, fellowship opportunities, our annual scholarship, and celebrate our retirees, as a small way to say “thank you” for all they do and have done for the City of Cabot.

If you would like to support these efforts, we would greatly appreciate your donation to the Cabot Police Department Foundation. Every contribution helps us continue programs that support officer wellness, family events, community outreach, scholarships, youth programs, and appreciation initiatives throughout the year.

Your generosity directly impacts the people who dedicate their lives to protecting this community we love.

Donations can be made at: https://www.cabotpolicefoundation.org or dropped off at the Cabot Justice Center.

Thank you, Cabot, for always supporting your police department and the families behind the badge.

The Cabot Police Department is recruiting junior officers for a special needs Junior Police Academy Day Camp. It will take place Saturday July 11th, from 9:00am until noon. Designed to serve kids and young adults 5 years old to 25 years old with disabilities, the day camp will focus on their abilities and give them an opportunity to experience what it’s like to be a police cadet. These junior officers will be provided a t-shirt, lunch for the cadet and their family, and a graduation certificate. The cadets will rotate through several stations of police related activities. There will be handcuffing, batons, fingerprinting, NERF guns, SWAT gear, and more. Everyone must register to attend and more information will be sent to your email after registration. The day camp is limited to the first 75 completed registrations.

This event is free due to generous community donations, police department and community volunteers, and our continued partnership with the Cabot School District for our JPA Programs.

You can email questions to Chief John Dodd at [email protected]
