Hello Butte! If you’re using Google to search for us, it is incorrectly reporting that we’ve closed. Far from true! The Butte Furniture Bank is busy in our 8th year helping those in need with free, gently used furniture and household items.

As we celebrate our 7th year in operation, the Butte Furniture Bank is proud to have reached an important milestone. Together with amazing community support, we have assisted over 1000 families and individual households with over 8000 pieces of free, gently used furniture, and have received an estimated 2400 different household donations. We are so thankful to our volunteers, generous donors, and community partners for helping make this idea a meaningful and impactful reality. It takes a village, and there’s no greater place than Butte to make it happen. Thank you Butte!

We’re hard at it, Butte, and we need your help! The Butte Furniture Bank has been busy helping those in need with free, gently used furnishings and household goods. Last year we were privileged to have served 192 households in our community, and have assisted over 900 since we began in 2018. Thank you to all who have helped us make this happen!

We are currently in need of the following and ask please that all items are clean and new, or gently used:

Pots & pans
Dishes and kitchenware
Towels, sheets, & comforters
Dressers

Hello Butte! If you are new to the Butte Furniture Bank, here’s a little about us. We are a nonprofit organization established in Butte in 2018 and comprised of 100% volunteers. Our mission is to help restore hope and dignity to those who are struggling with poverty or tragedy, by providing free, donated, new and gently used furniture and household goods.

Thanks to incredible community support, we are proud to have assisted over 900 households with furniture since we began.

We operate by appointment, so we do not have a storefront open to the public. If you would like to donate items please call us at (406) 603-0692. And if you are in need of assistance with furniture please contact our community partners at Action Inc. to apply.

About Us

Our Organization: The Butte Furniture Bank was formed in 2018 to help provide basic necessities like furniture and bedding for those who have recently been housed out of homelessness or who have suffered loss or other hardships. Our goal is to provide linkages for those who aim to give back by donating their gently used items to those who greatly need a helping hand. The BFB is based 100% on volunteers and donations and provides furniture

Seeking Assistance: The Butte Furniture Bank works in partnership with our local Community Action Agency, Action Inc. in accepting referrals. Please visit Action Inc. at 25 W. Silver Street, or call Housing Advocate, Joan Heinz at (406) 533-8315 to set up an appointment.

How You Can Help: If you have gently used furniture that you would like to donate, please contact Curt Quist at (406) 490-9983 to set up an appointment for pickup or delivery. If you’d like to volunteer to help with furniture deliveries, or would like to make a financial contribution to the Butte Furniture Bank we would be greatly appreciative. Please reach out!
