Today was a lovely day.

I spent time with school leaders today, and I challenged them on something most organizations get wrong…

They’re looking outside for growth, when the real opportunity is already inside their building.

Here’s the truth most people don’t want to say out loud:
Parents don’t trust institutions. They trust other parents.

Not your website.
Not your flyers.
Not your presentations.

People trust lived experiences.

The schools that understand this are the ones that grow. The ones that don’t… stay stuck wondering why their message isn’t landing.

Today wasn’t about adding more work. It was about shifting perspective.

Helping leaders see that enrollment, engagement, and culture all move faster when you activate the right voices, build simple systems, and become intentional about visibility.

There was a moment in the room where it clicked. You could feel it.

That’s why I do this work.

Because once leaders see it, they can’t unsee it.

Influence is more powerful than position.

Grateful for the opportunity.
Grateful for the impact.
And we’re just getting started.

Today was a powerful day.

I had the opportunity to meet and connect with over 20 high school principals and assistant principals who are on the front lines every day leading schools, supporting teachers, and shaping the lives of our young people.

What stood out most was the heart in the room.
These leaders truly care about their students, their staff, and the culture inside their buildings.

At Safe World Village, our mission is simple:

Develop the adults. Transform the culture. Change student outcomes.

When we invest in the leaders, the teachers, and the staff who stand in front of our young people every day, we create schools where students can truly thrive.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to share how Safe World Village can support schools through leadership development, culture and climate strategies, staff wellness, conflict resolution, and coaching for school leaders.

Today was a transformative day of empowering school leaders across Chicago, as we ignited a movement to unlock the full potential of Pre-K enrollment within their own communities. I had the privilege of leading a dynamic workshop focused on harnessing the power of existing school relationships to drive early childhood enrollment growth. Together, we explored innovative strategies to identify and engage families already connected to their schools, effectively communicate the value of high-quality Pre-K programs, cultivate a school-wide culture of collaboration, and develop actionable plans to drive results. What made today truly unforgettable wasn't just the tactics, but witnessing the collective passion and dedication of educators committed to leveling the playing field for Chicago's families. By investing in our school leaders, we're ultimately amplifying the impact on students and families every single day. I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this vital mission, paving the way for Chicago's children to thrive through accessible, high-quality early learning experiences. The journey continues.

Today was a special day.

Our founder had the honor of stepping in to coach some incredible young leaders from Chicago Public Schools – Burke Elementary School. We came together, competed hard, and walked away with a victory on the court. But more importantly, we planted seeds for success, teamwork, discipline, and believing in themselves.

The celebration didn’t stop there. Burke Elementary was also blessed with a $50,000 gift from community partners who believe in our youth and are committed to investing in their future.

This is what Safe World Village is all about. Showing up. Pouring into our young people. Teaching them how to win in life, not just in sports.

May God continue to guide their paths and order their steps toward greatness.

There comes a moment when you stop asking “Why doesn’t someone fix this?”

I’ve spent years working in schools, coaching on courts, facilitating in boardrooms, mentoring young men and women who just needed one safe place… one consistent voice… one opportunity.

Heart alone doesn’t keep the lights on.
