The 2026 VTFOP Conference is in the books. Thank you to all the members who came out and made it a great day. We had incredible speakers, vendors, and special guests. We look forward to planning our 2028 Conference and making it even bigger and better. Tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of 9/11. VTFOP remembers the first responders who answered the call without hesitation, those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the countless men and women whose lives were forever changed by that day.

This September 11, the Vermont Fraternal Order of Police is proud to partner with The Quell Foundation to co-host a special screening of their award-winning documentary, First Responders Sound the Alarm.

The film tells the stories of first responders and their families while confronting an issue that our profession has historically struggled to talk about: the cumulative impact that a career of responding to other people's worst days can have on those who serve.

Through the experiences of police officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, dispatchers, family members, and clinicians, First Responders Sound the Alarm examines occupational trauma, mental health, su***de, the stigma that can prevent first responders from asking for help, and the need for resources and treatment that truly understand first-responder culture.

For the Vermont FOP, supporting our members means more than protecting wages, benefits, and working conditions. It also means supporting the men and women behind the badge and working to ensure that asking for help is viewed as a sign of strength—not weakness.

There may be no more appropriate day for that conversation than September 11.

The Vermont Fraternal Order of Police is proud to announce our 2026 State Conference, taking place at the Essex Resort in Essex, Vermont!

👮 OPEN TO ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEES REGIONALLY

Join fellow law enforcement professionals for a full day of training, networking, and professional development, featuring special guests from the National FOP, including National FOP President Patrick Yoes Chair of Trustees Rob Pride.
